Flørli is popular for its 4444 steps right up the mountain – the longest wooden stairway in the world. Book this and you'll get to stay in one of our private rooms in a shared hostel house. Bath, kitchen, dining room and living room are shared with others. The room has single beds or a bunkbed, up to four beds. We chose a room for you, based on availability. The space Welcome to Flørli Historic Hostel. “Ingeniørmessa” is the name of this hostel villa in which prominent guests of the Flørli Hydropower Plant were once received. Representatives, directors and engineers visiting Flørli were well taken care of when they stayed in Flørli. Enter and discover living as if you lived a hundred years ago! Antique furniture, beautiful wooden beds with spring matresses, a grandma’s kitchen and a bathroom with shower in the basement. Practicalities: the hostel is situated in the village Flørli. It has a beautiful fjord view and there is a lawn outside to enjoy your breakfast on sunny days. It is a 300m walk to the fjord. The hostel has no TV nor internet. You can get free internet in the reception/restaurant close by. The bedrooms are about 9 sqm. There are downs and a pillow, but you need your own bed linen or order at an additional charge. In case Flørli Historic Hostel is fully booked, we might offer you alternative and equivalent accommodation in another house. Our rooms are all different in layout and bedding and the pictures of the room may not accurately reflect the exact room you will be getting. Some rooms have single beds that can be joined to a double, whereas others have a bunkbed. If this is important to you, please note it in the comment field of your booking and we will try to accommodate for your wish. Guest access There are a summer-open restaurant/café in Flørli, there is the old hydropower plant from 1916 to visit with an interesting history exhibition, you should of course hike the famous 4444 stairs and do some of our other amazing hikes, like the Flørli Cliffhike and the Fosshike. Flørli has enough to offer to keep you happy for at least three days. Other things to note Please have a good look at ferry times before booking - see the official Flørli/Florli site for details. We advise you to book the ferry in advance so you're assured a place. Guests who miss the ferry and who do not show up for whatever reason are not entitled for reembursement. Yes, there is free internet available both in and around the reception, not in the room though.
