Ruby in the Village is a historic, two-story townhome located in Italian Village within minutes of Columbus' best restaurants, coffee shops and attractions. Short North / High St: 0.3 miles Ohio Stadium: 2.4 miles Convention Center: 1 mile Nationwide Arena: 1.6 miles The red exterior makes it easy to spot, but the real treat is inside its walls. Exposed brick, tall ceilings and high end details will provide the perfect place to relax during your stay in this beautiful and thriving city. We've given this home so much love and have purposely furnished it with some of our favorite personal items--we hope they make you happy as well! Please know that the total home is 960 square feet. Also, take note of the floorplan in the pictures to ensure the space and layout will work for your needs. One free, on-street parking permit is provided. The living room is bright and cozy with exposed brick and a Roku TV, meaning no cable, but all the apps to sign in yourself! The kitchen is stocked with pots/pans, silverware, dishes--all the basics and then some. You'll find a Nespresso machine with pods as well as a traditional coffee maker to cover any of your caffeine needs. Although, you might not need it at all because one of the best coffee shops in town (Fox in the Snow) is a four-minute walk around the corner! A cafeteria style table creates the perfect gathering point for meals and late-night talks. Just off the kitchen, a private patio is a rare treat in the middle of the city. NOTE: Both sides of the townhome share a wall with neighbors. You may hear them on occasion, and we ask guests to please be respectful and stick to quiet hours between 10pm-8am. This is not the house for you if you are looking to throw a party or bring the party back with you. Registered, paying guests only. Upstairs, you'll find a large queen bedroom with a personal desk and a second, small room with a cozy double bed--please note we have replaced the gold bed frame as shown in the pictures with a more secure, upholstered frame. The size of the bed remains the same. These rooms are connected by a small hallway with a sliding door providing privacy on both sides, but there is not a lock between the two rooms. Each room is equipped with an area for storing clothes, sound machine, down alternative pillows/duvets and organic cotton sheets. NOTE: The stairs leading to the second floor are carpeted, but steep. Please keep this in mind if you or anyone you're traveling with might find those stairs difficult to manage as both bedrooms and the home's only bathroom are on the second floor. The bathroom is incredibly spacious with a double vanity and a huge shower with shower heads on each end--dreamy! You'll also find the washer and dryer in this space--feel free to use as your own. NOTE: There is no bathtub in the home. Please refer to the floorplan in the pictures for the exact layout of the upstairs to ensure it works for your needs. We feature local, handmade bath and body products from Tiki Botanicals (located in German Village) throughout the home for our guests to use. Such a treat! We'll also provide you with ONE temporary permit to park on the street during your stay. Any additional cars will need to find a non-permit parking spot on their own. Guests will have access to the entire home except for the basement which is locked and used only for storage. I'm available through the Airbnb app or via text/call on my cell phone. I live only five minutes away, so I am always close by! We've lived within one mile of this area for over 10 years, and couldn't be more in love with its charm, history and growth. Columbus is home to incredible restaurants, coffee shops and bakeries. Our guests will be staying within walking distance from all of the shops, restaurants and bars in Italian Village and the Short North. Uber is always available, as well as Columbus' free circulator bus, the "CBUS". There is a Ring camera at the front door that captures audio/video outside for security purposes on the front porch only.
