Description

✨ Immerse yourself in the untouched beauty of the Mayan jungle, just 1 hour from Cancun Airport — where nature and architecture merge into one heartbeat. Winner of an architectural biennale, Glass 20.87 invites you to live experiences that awaken your senses and reconnect you with yourself. Our promise is straightforward: to offer you an experience that combines total privacy, luxury, and profound respect for the environment. The space Glass 20.87 is not just a place to stay — it’s an invitation to live and feel differently. A call to open every glass door and let the jungle embrace you, to light your wood-fired tub beneath a sky full of stars, and to connect with the earth’s essence through ancestral experiences. You’ll be staying at Glass Roof House #2, one of our three glass villas, surrounded by the lush canopy of the Mayan jungle and elevated among the treetops. Through the glass ceiling above your bed, you’ll fall asleep under a sky full of stars — a once-in-a-lifetime experience of connection and stillness. Inside, you’ll find a queen-size bed, an open living and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with a glass door that opens completely — don’t worry, no one can see you; each villa is completely private and separated by over 25 meters of vegetation. On your private rooftop terrace, you’ll find the best sunrise view in all of Glass 20.87. From here, as the jungle awakens, the first rays of light filter through the trees while tropical birds begin their morning songs. It’s the perfect place to start your day with coffee, grill on the Green Egg, or relax in our signature wood-fired tubs as the forest slowly comes alive around you. 🌿 Within walking distance, inside the property, you’ll find our cenote — a natural pool surrounded by trees and birdsong. It’s open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 9 AM to 5 PM — perfect for a refreshing swim, meditation, or quiet reflection. Glass 20.87 lies deep in the Mayan jungle, about 1 hour from Cancun Airport and 40 minutes from Puerto Morelos. Each villa is designed for privacy, silence, and reconnection with nature. You are entering untouched lands — free from light and noise pollution. The journey may take time, but it’s worth every minute. Security operates 24 hours a day, offering complete peace of mind. Every element of Glass 20.87 was handcrafted — no heavy machinery, no disruption to the landscape. Our philosophy is rooted in simplicity, sustainability, and deep respect for the natural world. ✨ You may see butterflies, fireflies, or small insects during your stay — they’re harmless and part of the jungle’s magic. Please let them be; this is their home too. We operate entirely on solar power, using only essential appliances like the refrigerator to maintain energy balance. Please note: Glass 20.87 is not a hotel. We have no front desk or concierge. Camila will be there to welcome you for check-in between 4 PM and 10 PM (except Wednesdays). We are a couples-only retreat — guests must be 12 years or older. Guest access Your glass house offers total privacy and is fully equipped for a wonderful stay. The only shared space is the pool, though it’s often completely private as guests usually enjoy their own villas. You’ll have exclusive access to your entire villa, including: • Private rooftop terrace • Wood-fired tubs • Green Egg grill (with charcoal provided) • Fully equipped kitchen and dining area • Bicycles to explore the surrounding jungle paths • Fridge and essentials such as water, coffee, jam, bread, salt, pepper, olive oil, and cooking oil • Towels, pool towels, linens, dishes, glasses, and cutlery • Mosquito repellent and bug spray You’ll also have access to the cenote located within the complex — open from Tuesday to Sunday, 9 AM to 5 PM. It’s a tranquil, crystal-clear sanctuary surrounded by the jungle, perfect for swimming, meditating, or simply enjoying the silence of nature. You can walk or ride one of the bikes there, and you’ll find its exact location marked on the maps inside the brochure. Staying at Glass 20.87 is already unforgettable — but living one of our curated experiences can truly change your life. If you simply stay, you’ll enjoy an award-winning glass house surrounded by the jungle’s silence. But if you choose to connect through our experiences, you’ll live something few ever do — a journey that touches the senses, the body, and the soul. We offer the following experiences at an additional cost: • Private Chef Dinner – a 3-course experience under the stars, with the option of a vegan menu. Includes a bottle of wine and dessert surprise. • Temazcal Ceremony – an ancestral purification ritual guided by a shaman, representing rebirth through steam, herbs, and intention. • Cacao Ceremony – an introspective experience using cacao as a sacred medicine to open the heart and reconnect with yourself. • Soul Caress Therapy – a gentle energy-healing session combining aromatherapy, meditation, and intuitive touch to restore inner balance. • Herbal Bath – a relaxing rooftop ritual using medicinal plants and natural essences for purification and deep rest. • Cenote Tour – visit two open and two cave cenotes, swim in crystal-clear waters, and enjoy a traditional Mexican buffet. IN-VILLA BREAKFASTS & CEVICHES Delivered to your doorstep — fresh, handmade, and ready to enjoy. (Some dishes only require mixing the final ingredients.) CEVICHES (for 2 people – 1 kg each) • Traditional Fish Ceviche – Fresh fish (Pargo or Zapatero), tomato, red onion, cucumber, oregano and tostadas. • Fish & Mango Ceviche – Fresh fish (Pargo or Zapatero), celery, parsley, red bell pepper, cherry tomatoes, chia seeds and tostadas. BREAKFASTS (for 2 people) All include mixed berry salad, yogurt, granola and 1 L of orange juice. • Chicken Chilaquiles – With grilled chicken breast, your choice of red or green sauce, refried beans, cream, cheese and onion. • Belgian Waffles – Six mini waffles with cottage cheese. • Tlacoyos – Traditional stuffed tortillas with beans, mushrooms, green sauce and cheese. All experiences and food services must be booked at least 3 days in advance. Other things to note Here are a few tips to help you enjoy your stay to the fullest: • Open all the windows and let the wind pass through the house. Let the butterfly come in, let the dragonfly dance around you — this is part of the magic of being here. • Turn on the wood-fired tubs on your private rooftop at night and watch for shooting stars. How many can you spot? • We recommend arriving during daylight, as we’re deep in the jungle and the access road has no artificial light — it’s part of the off-grid experience. • Check-in starts at 4 pm — just in time for sunset and for the jungle to begin to wake. • Bring your groceries before arriving. We’re secluded, and there are no stores nearby. • There’s no air conditioning, but nights are usually cool and comfortable. During the day, opening all the windows and using the fans keeps the house fresh. • Humidity levels vary throughout the year, and while it’s part of being in the jungle, we’ve designed the spaces to remain comfortable and well-ventilated. • During the day, open all the glass doors and let the jungle flow through your home. At night, close the main doors, leave open only those with mosquito screens, and spray the insect repellent before heading to the rooftop. When you return, the house will be fresh and mosquito-free — ready for a peaceful night surrounded by the sounds of the jungle. • Electricity is solar-powered, so please use it consciously. • Wi-Fi is available and strong. You’ll be able to stay connected or work remotely if needed. • This is the jungle, not the city. You may occasionally see insects or small creatures — it’s part of being surrounded by nature. It’s not common, but it can happen. Please understand this before booking; this experience isn’t for everyone, but for those who embrace it, it can be life-changing. • Each morning, grind your own coffee beans and let the aroma mix with the sounds of the jungle — it’s one of the most grounding moments of the day. • Butterflies, fireflies, and dragonflies are frequent visitors — let them be; this is their home too. • At night, you might hear frogs or the distant call of jungle birds — nature here is your only neighbor. • Don’t miss the chance to visit the cenote within the complex — it’s one of the most peaceful and beautiful places around Glass 20.87. • Please keep music at a low volume to preserve the peace of the jungle and respect other guests. • Glass 20.87 is ideal for travelers seeking silence, nature, and reconnection — not for those looking for conventional comfort. • At Glass 20.87, we believe luxury isn’t about having more — it’s about feeling more.
