One of a small collection of old farmworkers cottages now turned luxury holiday cottage - the quiet farmyard setting gives you a real rural getaway feeling. The cottage is roughly five minutes by car away from some beautiful sandy beaches, and is located between Newton by the sea and Beadnell. The popular market town of Alnwick is also nearby - it is very popular and has a range of things to do and see, including the castle (which featured in the Harry Potter films) and the Gardens with treehouse restaurant, bamboo maze and water features. Formerly a farm worker’s cottage, all on ground level and with an abundance of bright and cheery decor, this cottage still has some beautiful original features, a stone inglenook fireplace with its log burner of particular note. There are two well-kept gardens, front and rear, one with a patio and furniture and the other with a wendy house and children’s play equipment. This property sits next some of our other retreats, of varying sizes, and these are often booked together for two or three families holidaying together.
