Enjoy your time out in the stylishly renovated, approximately 140-year-old winemaker's house on the southern wine route between vineyards and the Palatinate Forest. The vacation home is the ideal home for wine, hiking and cycling enthusiasts looking for a balanced mix of enjoyment, activity and relaxation. The space In April 2021, we fulfilled our dream of a vacation home in our old home, the Palatinate. We completely renovated the interior with a lot of love and personal effort for about 12 months. It was important to us to make the historical building fabric visible. Sandstone and wood were combined with modern accents. The heart of the house is the cozy dining area with an open kitchen, which invites you to enjoy Palatinate wine and delicacies in a stylish atmosphere. The kitchen is equipped with an induction cooktop, oven, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. A fully automatic coffee machine is also available to you. In the display case you will find glasses and dishes as well as other kitchen utensils. Thanks to a Bluetooth box on the shelf, you can also listen to music. A small selection of travel and hiking guides can also be found here. The conservatory accessible from the kitchen offers another lounge with a couch in spring and autumn. In summer, it replaces the terrace with open sliding doors and an awning. The bathroom is equipped with a spacious walk-in shower, vanity with illuminated mirror and toilet. We are happy to provide towels and a hairdryer. In the attic is the bedroom with a king-size bed, a comfortable armchair and the TV. The closet in the hallway can be used as storage space. Bicycles can be accommodated in the room accessible from the outside under the conservatory. Power connections for e-bikes are provided. IMPORTANT NOTE: The property is not suitable for children! The stairs to the attic are very steep and the stairs to the basement do not have a fall protection. Since the hallway is open, there is no way to secure the stairs for children. We cannot and do not want to take any responsibility for any accidents. We ask you to respect that. Guest access An external staircase leads to the front door. The floor that opens up is completely at your disposal. From the hallway with a wardrobe you can reach the open cooking and dining area as well as the conservatory. The bathroom is also on this level. In the attic there is a hallway with a spacious closet and the bedroom. We use the rooms in the basement on the ground floor privately, so they are not part of the rented area. They serve as storage space. You are welcome to use the washer and dryer there for free. An ironing board and iron are also available. Containers for waste separation are located here, as is a cordless vacuum cleaner. Other things to note We hope that you feel comfortable in our house. Since it is over 100 years old, there are some special features that we would like to point out: Stairs The original and restored staircase to the attic is steep with a low tread depth. A certain sure-footedness is required. The staircase to the washing machine in the basement does not have a handrail. Use of the access to the non-rented area is at your own risk. Please also pay attention to the headroom. Alternatively, access can be gained via the arched window, which can be opened from the inside. Room height At about 2.10 m, the ceiling heights are lower than usual in some rooms (except the bedroom). Technology Information: TV : The TV is a smart TV that can only be operated via the Internet. Instructions can be found in the magazine collector or in our vacation home manual (see also QR codes). If you have any problems, just let me know. Access to the building via PIN code: After successful booking, you will receive a PIN code by email, which you will need to unlock the front door.
