The upstairs Pendleton Room is distinctive, comfortable, and furnished with a heavenly king bed. Guests also have unlimited access to numerous comfortable common areas. Each guest room is equipped with cable TV and complimentary coffee, tea, and cold beverages. Bathrooms are recently renovated. Common spaces available to guests include porches, outdoor garden, and a living/dining room, where guests are invited to enjoy complete homemade breakfasts and afternoon snacks, or simply to relax any time of day. You can step outside Mitchell and Bobbie's door, for an invigorating run, walk, or bicycle ride, in town and nearby open spaces. [Note: No bicycles are provided, but you can bring your own.] Within easy driving distance, hike the popular 1.5 mile Roaring Run Trail, tour the Fincastle Vineyard & Winery, Virginia Mountain Vineyards and the Blue Ridge Vineyards, sample craft beer and enjoy gourmet bar cuisine at Ballast Point, or explore the world famous Appalachian Trail. Venture just 25 minutes to Roanoke, to explore the Taubman Museum, Black Dog Architectural Salvage and Antiques, VA Museum of Transportation and the Jefferson Center plus have lunch or dinner in one of many unique restaurants in the city.
