Cute cottage located behind the 100-year-old main farmhouse! This unique 4 acre property boasts gorgeous farmland views, flourishing gardens, and farm animals. You can visit the goats, dogs, and chickens. Enjoy a full kitchen, living and dining area, bedroom, and bath with oversized tub. HUGE fenced saltwater pool with high dive available seasonally! This property consists of 4 acres of trees, gardens, and pasture land in the middle of farmland. Feel free to visit the goats, chickens, etc (but please don’t enter or open their pen or coop). There is a fenced saltwater pool on the property with 2 diving boards and a deep end that is an amenity shared with the owners and typically open mid-May through the end of September. The gardens flourish with flowers in the spring time! The cottage is located behind the main farmhouse, with a front door and a side door that enters the patio with grill and fire pit. Inside the cottage, you will find a living room with pull out couch and work desk, dining area, full kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom with an oversized tub/shower combo (note: there is a step down into the tub, as pictured, which may cause difficulty for people with disabilities or injuries. Also, the jets/jacuzzi feature on the tub does not work). Ceilings are tall with sky lights for an open and airy feel! The views off the patio or outside the dining window are beautiful. Kids can enjoy playing on the playset with zip line, trampoline, jungle gym, or sport (basketball, pickleball, etc) court. You will enter off of Fort Campbell Blvd onto the gravel drive within the tree line. Please keep right and drive around the corner behind the main house, curving left in front of the detached garage. You can park in between the main house and the cottage and enter through the cottage door located off the driveway using the keypad on the door. We are happy to answer any questions or help in any way before or during your stay! We live in the main house just in front of the cottage, so will be available either by phone or just knock on the door! You will see us out and about, playing with our kids in the backyard, doing some yard work, or tending to the animals. Please don’t hesitate to say hi or make any inquiries! We would love to know how we can make your stay perfect! We will follow your lead and socialize as much or as little as you enjoy. We live 2-3miles past the main intersection between the boulevard and I-24. That intersection has some fast food and gas stations available. We are 10 min from both Hopkinsville and Clarksville, TN and also 10 minutes from Fort Campbell! We have 2 Walmarts and other shopping and eating options 5-10 minutes away. Nashville is not too far at 1 hour away! Perfect, unique spot for those training at Fort Campbell or passing through on a cross-country drive! We are surrounded by farmland and few neighbors. You will need a car to get around the area. Parking is located right next to the cottage, between the cottage and the main house. Parking is shared with the owners and is free! NO SMOKING anywhere on the property! This is a strict policy and you will be fined $250 for professional cleaning and deodorizing! Please note that this cottage is 100 years old and located on a farm, and as such, seasonal ladybugs and an occasional mouse may make their way through the cracks. We have a company regularly treat the property for pests, and will help put out any traps if needed. We do what we can, but can’t always predict when a critter might sneak in. The pests are harmless but we want you to be aware of that reality prior to booking! Any guests not on the original booking MUST have prior approval before arriving on property. Absolutely no parties or large groups allowed, unless prior party arrangements and payment have been made and agreed upon! Friends of guests MUST have permission to explore the grounds or use the amenities, to include the pool! This will be strictly enforced. Also, please be respectful and keep any noise down. Any loud music or raucous behavior will be assumed to be a party and shut down immediately. **the pool is a shared amenity with the owners, their family and friends. You’re welcome to join us as we swim! We also host private pool rentals through Swimply, so there may on occasion be times when the pool is “booked” and access is restricted** Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis with a pet fee of $50, and additional fees may apply above the standard pet fee, depending on any damage or extra cleaning required. **Indoor and leashed pets only! One pet allowed per booking, unless pre-approval is given** Just message us beforehand and we can let you know if your pet will be allowed! This is for the safety of your pet and ours, as we have other animals on the property, as well as cleanliness of the cottage for future guests. We do have additional parking and storage space. If traveling with an RV or trailer, just ask and we can likely accommodate it! Additional fees may apply if your booking necessitates long term storage. We live in the main house across the driveway with our children so you will see us out and about in the yard! We like to be outside playing, doing yard work, or tending to the farm animals. We also have a sweet dog (golden doodle) that loves people and is harmless that is usually outside running around. She will initially bark at you, but if you would like us to introduce you to her so you become a familiar person, we can do that! That way she won’t bark. But she is so sweet and harmless! You can always say “Hi Mattie!” And let her come sniff your hand and pet her, and she will be happy to meet a new person. Feel free to visit the farm animals, but please don’t open their coop or pen unless given permission. We are also happy to show you around and give you a tour of the animals! We are often outside with our own kids playing and interacting with the animals or gardens. Please don’t hesitate to join us! Kids are welcome to play on the play-set and trampoline, but doing so is at your own risk. We are not liable for possible injury associated with play.
