Original Charming 2 Bedroom Retreat
Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. This house is located in a small rural town of central ND. The home was built over 100 years ago. It has games and books to create a cosy retreat for you and your family. The house is walkable to downtown, restaurants, and a grocery store. Harvey offers parks, a movie theater, coffeehouse, restaurants, fishing, and a swimming pool. Surrounded by farmland and wildlife with many hunting and fishing opportunities. The space The home was built over 100 years ago. It is charming simple, old house. It you are used to modern luxury retreats this is not going to be the place for you. If you want relaxing, quiet, farm feeling - you will love your stay. The entrance is through the semi-enclosed patio at the back of the house. The sidewalk will lead you right up to the door. This patio is exposed to the elements so it is warm in the summer and cold in the winter. It is also often dusty due to being open to the elements. We do clean this patio between stays and attempt to keep nature outside, but those of you that know the ND wind will understand that is a big job. To enter the house you will have a few steps from both doors. Once inside the rooms are all located on one level without steps except for the washer and dryer which are in the basement. The home is a two bedroom and one bath. The entryway doubles as a space for an office with a futon for an additional guest and is open to the living room. The 1st bedroom had one bed. The 2nd bedroom has two beds. You will find a portable floor fan in the closet of both bedrooms. The beds are on antique frames so they are smaller then the common day bed sizes. The mattresses are soft and the kind you sink into in a relaxing way. The living room is setup as a great room with the dinning table at one end of the space. The living room has a couch and a love seat with a smart tv for you to use with any of your own streaming services. Additionally it be living room you will find books, cards, and games. The bathroom is stocked with body wash, shampoo, conditioner, towels and toilet paper. The shower surround has been update. The tub is original which means it does have some staining and old pipes so please be gentle with what goes down the drains. The hallway closet between the bedrooms has extra bedding and blankets. The second closet off of this hallway has a mop, broom, and vacuum if needed during your stay. The kitchen is stocked with glassware, plates, and a microwave. The garbage bags and located in a cabinet close to the window. Under the sink you will find dish soap and cleaning supplies. We have a coffee bar setup with coffee, sugar, filters and drip style coffeemaker. We have of napkins and paper towels. Please make sure you turn off the coffee maker as it does not turn off on its own. The patio is enclosed and located at the back of the house with a table and couple of chairs. The backyard is not fenced, however at the back of the yard you will find a dog kennel. You will also find a ground stake and 16 ft leash in the patio. Please remember it is your responsibility to clean up after your dogs. Dogs are welcome in the house. Please no cats are the owner has allergies. You will have access to a washer and dryer in the basement. The basement deep freeze does not work. We know many will be coming to the area for hunting and fishing. We ask the you do not clean your game or fish in the house and if you do it outside please clean up after yourself. The house is equipped with WiFi and when you book the username and password is provided. Guest access Full house and yard. We have one locked room in the basement and a locked closet for our personal items. The garage is not available for use as the owners have personal items stored inside.
