Lyckebo Lakehouse - Private Beach, Boat & Garden

Here you are swimming, boating, snorkeling, canoing, fishing or relaxing right next to your shaded dining table & BBQ. Immersed in nature as intimately, peacefully and privately as one possibly can. Entertained by a panoramic lake and mountain view, dramatic sunsets, bird life, curiously visiting squirrels or by melancholic cries of Arctic Loons. Or just strolling the pathways in the shade of the forest garden, to a porch swing, pergola, hammock or garden chair. The space Lyckebo is a forest garden on a secluded private headland on the northern beach of lake Mellan-svan, with a century old cottage modernized for cozy, simple and comfortable living. Arranged to be a romantic place, suitable also for families with older children. The beach has a pebble stone Beach Patio arranged with sun loungers, beach mats and parasols next to a shallow bathing bay and boat slip with a small rowing boat, an old canoe and a mini surf/sup board for guests to use. Here is also a small bathing jetty for comfortable family fun in the sun. The water is shallow, clear and warm. The forest garden has two shaded patios: the BBQ Patio overseeing the lake with a dining table and charcoal grills right outside the cottage kitchen, and the Garden Patio with a more shaded breakfast table under the trees in the backyard where also the squirrels and birds are fed. Pathways leads to a porch swing, pergola and garden chairs. The cottage has lake and mountain view in all the rooms with; sunrise in the bedrooms, sunset in the kitchen and bathroom, and panoramic views in the living room and around the dining table on the glassed veranda. The cottage’s entrance is in the backyard on a tiny veranda that leads to the hallway, the bathroom, the first bedroom, the kitchen and to the living room on the glassed veranda. The second bedroom is on the loft which is entered by a steep staircase from the first bedroom through a hatch that can be closed, or by an outdoors staircase via the bedroom's little balcony. The hallway has a wardrobe and a dresser for guests to use. The bathroom has a bathtub, heated floors and a Separett® Toilet room. The first bedroom is also a living room that has a work space, an audio PA system and a sofa that easily transforms into a single bed, two single beds or a double bed. The second bedroom on the loft has a queen size double bed and an extra single bed. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a bar counter to gather around. The living room on the glassed veranda has a large dining table and an exit with a staircase out to the grills on the BBQ patio. See more details in the photographs’ captions. Guest access Lyckebo Lakehouse has a small rowing boat, an old canoe and two bicycles that are free for guests to use. With this boat and canoe guests can go everywhere on Lake Mellan-svan and also further on Lake Västan-svan. The two parking spaces on the northern part of the property and its fenced entrance are right next to the road 'Strandvägen'. Guests have access to all parts of the property except to the small shed where my gardening tools and materials are stored. Other things to note - Best price and comfort is optimized for up to 4 guests. Booking a 5th guest adds an extra fee. Booking is possible only with “Instant Book” which Airbnb enables when the guest: “[1] have gone through Airbnb’s multi-step identity verification process, [2] have had at least one stay and [3] haven’t received any negative reviews.” - My cleaning fee includes that I provide and wash 1 set of linen and bed sheets plus 3 towels (1 small, 1 large and 1 beach) per guest per week and free supplies of BBQ charcoal, candles, drinking water, olive oil, salt, pepper, soap, shampoo, washing-up liquid, cleaning products and toilet paper for all guests for the duration of their stay. - The internet access via 4G mobile broadband is very good indoors and outdoors. - The drinking water in the cottage is supplied by the municipality and served from water cans, while the hot and cold water in the kitchen and bathroom taps, for washing and showering, is filtered up from the lake. - The electricity in the cottage is free for guests to use. Charging electric vehicles or other extensive use of electricity requires special permission. - My cleaning of the cottage follows 'Airbnb’s five-step enhanced cleaning process', which is based on 'Airbnb’s cleaning handbook' that was developed in partnership with experts. - See the specification of this entire process below under the headline ‘Health and safety’. - My House Manual, that makes it easy to find and to use all things at Lyckebo, is provided to guests ahead of their stay.
