Everything is organic, natural, the simple things in life with a touch of luxury. The space The Treehouse is a magical place to stay. Wander down the bush path to catch sight of the treehouse that rises on a solid central base, standing sentry-like over the surrounding kauri, nikau, manuka, and many other specimens of New Zealand native bush. Take the boardwalk to this stunning octagonal treehouse, step inside to marvel at the abundance of space and the magnificent untreated timber ceiling rising to a soaring height producing authentic woody aromas. High above the forest floor the wraparound deck offers a viewing platform over the forest canopy. Here you can relax in nature, listening to the beautiful native birdsong whilst enjoying one of the many wonderful local wines or beverages. Observe the subtle differences in colour and texture of the native bush, including a mighty kauri estimated between 800 and 900 years old. And when night falls, gaze at the stars above in the night sky. This setting is beautiful during the day and even more stunning at night. Ideal for couples, however we can accommodate 2 additional guests with a sofa bed, due to availability. Everything you need is here. A comfortable queen bed with quality cotton bedding, wood burner, full kitchen and bathroom. Water for drinking is filter rainwater and all other water comes from the property’s freshwater spring which is also filtered. The perfect place for a honeymoon, an anniversary, or just a special break AWAY.. Rain or shine, summer, winter, autumn or spring, one stay won’t be enough, and you’ll be planning your return visit. Total privacy, 100% indulgence. No WIFI is available on this secluded property. Spark network is available in the treehouse with 3G however Vodafone isn't active in the Treehouse. Full reception is at the carpark. Please ask if you wish to use it earlier during the day, since from time to time, I welcome day guests to the Forest SPA. Bath salt - $10 Energising Orange & Bergamot bath salt full of minerals and natural oils. Couples body scrub - $20 Treat each other with a Coconut & Vanilla body scrub by the outdoor shower before soaking in the hot tub. Please note. All prices exclude GST No onsite treatments available in June-July. Please ask for referral to other venue. Guest access Guests have full use of the treehouse. 100 % privacy. You will spot an "AWAY" sign by the driveway. Upon arrival please park against one side of the driveway to allow access to Hosts Day SPA visitors (and avoid getting parked in). Follow the signs down the pebbled path, past the Cabin, until you arrive to the treehouse. Once you're inside there is a trapdoor to access the bathroom at the lower level. Simply lift the trapdoor, this operates on a counterweight. To close the trapdoor use your body weight to push down. Most importantly enjoy yourselves! Other things to note The treehouse is accessed by steep steps on gravel. Please note you need to be comfortable walking down and uphill. We recommend backpacks/carry bags rather then suitcases for smoother access. Bathroom is accessed by a trapdoor and steps. It's great fun, but you need to be comfortable using steps :-)
