Description
Step into this charming cottage, tucked away in sunny rambling gardens with plenty of spots to sit and soak up the view. Inside, you’ll find a cosy, thoughtfully styled space full of warmth and character. Wake in peaceful bedrooms nestled in the eaves, with birdsong drifting through the garden. After days spent wandering nearby walks and country lanes, curl up by the log burner or fire up the BBQ. Venture into nearby villages for traditional pubs, local shops and a slower pace of life. The space Originally dating back to the 16th century, this beautifully restored cottage blends timeless character with modern comfort. Peaceful and private, it’s the perfect countryside escape, overlooking its own landscaped gardens with picture-perfect views from every window. Outside, the garden offers plenty of space to explore, along with a sunny terrace complete with a BBQ, dining area, fire pit and relaxed outdoor seating — ideal for slow mornings and long evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped with a range-style gas cooker, air fryer, built-in fridge and freezer, dishwasher and microwave. A separate pantry and utility room offer added convenience, with an additional freezer for longer stays. You’ll also find a selection of tea and coffee, plus freshly laid eggs, if our hens are laying! Upstairs, two generous bedrooms are tucked beneath the eaves, each with views across the garden canopy and birdsong in the trees. Both rooms feature soft fitted carpets, bedside charging points and dimmable lighting for a calm, restful feel. The king-size master bedroom includes a beautifully designed ensuite with a spacious walk-in shower, spa-style bench and vintage-inspired fittings. The second bedroom can be arranged as either two twin beds or one super king — simply let us know your preference when booking. A baby cot is also available free of charge. The sitting room is warm and inviting, with a three-seater sofa, additional seating, and a woodburner set within the inglenook fireplace. A large flat-screen TV and a Swyft sofa bed provide extra comfort and sleeping space for two. The conservatory offers another peaceful spot to unwind, overlooking the garden and opening onto the sun terrace. There’s also a dedicated workspace in the sitting room, complete with plug sockets and BT Wi-Fi. The main bathroom is downstairs and features a deep bath with detachable shower head, vintage-style fittings, and a bath tray for long, relaxing soaks. Private parking is available at the front of the cottage, with space for multiple cars. Guest access Cottage Garden Multiple parking spaces Sun terrace with BBQ, fire pit, and garden furniture. Other things to note Well-behaved dogs are very welcome at the cottage. To help us keep the space comfortable for all guests, we ask that dogs remain downstairs, stay off the furniture, and keep paws on the floors. Dogs will love exploring the garden, but please note the boundary is formed by mature hedging and may be passable for particularly curious dogs. While enclosed, the garden is not fully secure, so dogs should be supervised at all times. The cottage is not suitable for cats or other pets. If dogs are found on beds or soft furnishings, a £30 charge may apply to cover additional cleaning, specialist laundering, or replacement where necessary.
