Use of an adjoining luxury walk-in shower room with handbasin & WC (this bathroom is located in between the 2 bedrooms and is private to your group). Rooms are ground floor, accessed from the entrance hallway and not shared with the rest of the household. Shared kitchen and dining area. The space Large detached home in a lovely old rural village of Sheriff Hutton in the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire. Halfway between York & Malton; 5 miles from Castle Howard Stately Home; 10 miles from the market towns of Easingwold & Malton; City of York with its’ many attractions is just 30 minutes drive away by car (10 miles). Ample private off-street parking on the driveway at front of the property. Electric Vehicle (Type 2) charger available (by separate arrangement and contribution £ : p). Secure storage for bicycles or motorbikes in garage. Delightful rear garden. Shared use of the dining area of our kitchen. You will find everything you need to make hot drinks or prepare light snacks and you can use the fridge to store your own food. You're welcome to use the kettle, toaster and microwave, anything else please just ask. In the morning you will find the dining table set for a light breakfast of fruit juice, cereals and/or bread for toast (with butter and jams) available for you to help yourself. Please note: We are served by a rural bus service (day-time, Monday-Saturday only) - personal transport needed to get the most out of your stay. Local walks, including self-guided village stroll to explore the 14th century castle ruins and the parish church which contains a wealth of historical interest. Guest access King size bed (plus a single sofa-chair-bed) in a large fully furnished ground floor bedroom, next to an adjoining WC and luxury walk in shower room. Further double bedroom available for your family/group. Robes and towels provided. The bedroom is accessible from the main reception hallway leading from the (shared) front door. We will provide a key for you to be as independent as you wish. There’s a separate guest lounge available. These rooms are all ground floor - so you get space and privacy away from the rest of the household. You're still welcome to use our kitchen and the shared dining area. During your stay We want you to have a wonderful and relaxing stay at our lovely home. Flexible check in/out times by arrangement - just ask - but dependant on our work schedule too! Check out time: 10am (unless by prior arrangement). Usually one, or both of us, will be home to welcome you and help you settle in. Please advise us of your intended arrival time to facilitate this. Door key provided so you can be as independent as you wish. Privacy also respected. Other things to note This is a working household and there may be coming or going before 7am, quietly, so as not to disturb anyone. We also have 2 dogs - English Springer Spaniels - who share the open plan kitchen/dining room.
