Spacious Wine Country / Garden Retreat

Escape to the “Penngrove retreat” - a private haven in beautiful Sonoma County. This stunning, spacious private retreat features a hot tub, gourmet kitchen, sun room, games, and a covered porch overlooking a landscaped garden. Our home is modern yet comfortable, and nestled in a beautiful outdoor setting. We are a brief walk to the quaint town of Penngrove, and within short driving distance to towns and wineries of Petaluma, Santa Rosa, and Sonoma. The space The house is organized around an open floor plan living room, kitchen, and dining area, which enables easy entertaining. The window-lined space affords views of the wide open surroundings. The master bedroom features a king-size bed and ensuite, while the guest room has a queen-size bed and an ensuite. There is a half bathroom in the common space. The second bedroom room doubles as an office for business travelers, with a comfortable Herman Miller chair and monitor. Additional guests can utilize a foldable floor mattress in the second living/ reading room. There's a tatami floor sun room perfect for reading, yoga, or stretching. A gourmet kitchen is well-equipped for wine country entertaining, and a covered outdoor dining area allows for al fresco meals on warm days. Explore the landscaped garden, which provides a tranquil setting, with an open lawn space for sun bathing or games. Roses, wisteria, grapevines, pear trees and Japanese Maples cover the grounds, with two grand Palm trees. Note: there is a small 2-car light rail that passes about once an hour (takes ~5 seconds) on the track behind the back at the garden. We find it quaint and while it can be heard from the garden, it's barely noticeable from inside the home! It does not blow a horn and does not run on Sundays. Guest access Stay here and enjoy having the house to yourself, access to all outdoor areas. Washer + dryer in the garage as well as an at-home gym including a squat rack, bench, free weights, yoga mat and more. Please use with caution and only within your ability. The hot tub is currently drained. To use, an additional $500 fee/stay can be discussed with hosts to cover maintenance and heating. There is plenty of parking on our driveway in front of the house. There is an owner's closet located in the master bathroom that is off-limits to guests. Important: This is a completely smoke-free property. Smoking, vaping, and cannabis use are not permitted anywhere on the premises. Other things to note There are security cameras located on the exterior of the home, in addition to a Ring camera/doorbell at the front entrance
