Description
Relax in this contemporary rural bungalow on the forest and close to the sea. Walk out onto the New Forest, enjoy the scenic garden looking over fields packed with wildlife, or enjoy cycling along quiet lanes amongst grazing ponies, donkeys and cattle. Two good pubs are within 1.5 miles in either direction and the historic towns of Beaulieu and Lymington are 3 miles and 4.5 miles respectively away. The quaint historic shipyard of Bucklers Hard nearby has a museum, pub and marina. IOW close too. The space A very spacious 2 bedroom bungalow with a queen size double with an en-suite bathroom (with bath) and a second bedroom with twin beds which can be pushed together. The main bathroom boasts a spacious walk in wet room shower. The kitchen has an island work area plus breakfast (or drinks) bar plus eye level oven and electric hob. The open plan living area has a dining table, large television plus patio doors out to the garden. Their are two patios, one at the rear and one to the side giving maximum opportunity to enjoy the sunshine and a private fenced garden looking out over miles of fields. There are two parking spaces for guests. An outdoor 3 pin plug is available for EV charging at a cost of £20 paid locally. Guest access Guests have use of the entire dwelling except the garage which is used as a laundry and storeroom. It can be available to guests if they need to house bikes or use the washing machine. Other things to note We allow dogs at £15 per stay per dog. Maximum 2 dogs. We prefer that you do not leave them home alone but ask that if you intend to at all, that they are always left in a dog crate to protect our furnishings and decor; even if they are very well behaved. As already stated there is an outside plug that can be used for EV charging. Owing to the high cost of charging EV’s now we ask a one off payment of £20 per stay for using this facility. You can pay this on arrival. Maple Cottage is also only 4 miles from the ferry across to Yarmouth, Isle of Wight. It is also close to the historic village of Beaulieu, the beautiful residence of the Montagu family and home to the National Motor Museum. Brockenhurst is only 10 minutes by car with direct train services to London Waterloo, Winchester, Bournemouth, Poole and Weymouth.
