Ocean View Kubo (Philippine style house - a bit like a tree house) is located at the Mabini peninsula with wonderful views over the bay of islands (Sombrero Island) close to the rainforest. Only 2 min walk (100 steps down) to the coral beach of the famous Marine National Park "Arthur's Rock". The space "...a dream-like craftsman studio..." as one of our guests called it, the Ocean View Kubo is located on the Mabini peninsula. About 150 steps down from the main road to the Kubo and another 100 steps down to the coral beach (the beach is for free) - next to LILOM RESORT ANILAO. The steps are a good workout:) The Kubo has 1bedroom with A/C, toilet and bath with hot shower,balcony and a kitchen. You are welcome to use our kitchen down below the balcony for simple cooking.We have mini refrigerator,Induction cooker,rice cooker,electric kettle,basic cookware,utensils and plates. We provide COMPLIMENTARY pure local Barako coffee and Tea as well as drinking water. Please clean the kitchen after use, make sure all the food are in the container or put it inside the fridge,We are in the forest and Ants attack really fast. FOOD: Delicious buffets (breakfast, lunch, dinner) are available at LILOM Resort.(pre-booking only!!!) You can also try out other resorts for dining. There are also some small local eateries along the road and OMG - a nice restaurant and grill in Brgy.SOLO (10 min drive from our OVK). There is an INTERNET signal (globe&smart) in the area but we do not have WIFI in the house. Check-in time is 2 pm. Sorry, early check-in is not possible. PLEASE BE AWARE that this is a very quiet area (not like Puerto Galera or Boracay's main beaches - so there are no supermarkets, no beach bars, and just a couple restaurants here!) ACTIVITIES: free diving, scuba diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, kayaking, swimming, island hopping, mountain biking, trekking, jogging, sunset-watching,... SNORKELING GEAR: We also have snorkeling gear. You can also borrow a life jacket + booties (if it fits you:) from us. All FREE of charge; there is just a deposit: 1000,- PHP, which you get back as soon as you return all the gear. Please do not touch the underwater creatures! Simply enjoy the beauty of the coral gardens, colorful fish and magnificent sea turtles! PLEASE NOTE: this is a private home-stay, therefore sometimes we have power cuts (no generator). For sure, we will try our best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. NATURE LOVERS of eco-friendly ethnic style houses are very welcome. During your stay If you have questions just ask us.
