This is the original Glass House — the design that inspired Glass 20.87. A fully glazed structure where nature surrounds you from every direction, and every wall opens to the jungle so the wind, light, and sounds flow freely. Here, the surrounding jungle lies slightly lower, giving a broader sense of openness and horizon. From the rooftop, you can watch the sunset behind the trees while relaxing in the wood-fired tubs. Inside, you’ll find a queen-size bed, open living and dining area, fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with a glass door that opens completely — so you can shower with the jungle breeze. Each villa is completely private, separated by over 25 meters of vegetation. The rooftop features a Green Egg grill, dining space, and two wood-fired tubs overlooking the treetops and stars. The Jungle Hideaway is close to the entrance, yet deeply immersed in nature — a reflection of everything Glass 20.87 stands for. This retreat lies in the heart of the Mayan jungle, about 1 hour from Cancun Airport and 40 minutes from Puerto Morelos. Every villa is designed for privacy, silence, and reconnection — a true sanctuary in nature. Within the same complex and walking distance from your villa, you’ll find a hidden cenote — a natural sanctuary of calm, fresh water surrounded by dense jungle and birdsong. It’s open Tuesday to Sunday, 9 AM – 5 PM, and often remains quiet and nearly empty — a secret place to swim, meditate, or simply connect with nature. You’re entering untouched lands — free from light and noise pollution. Reaching Glass 20.87 isn’t effortless, but every minute of the journey is worth it. 24-hour security ensures peace of mind at all times. As an off-grid project, we run entirely on solar power. There are no electric appliances other than the refrigerator — a conscious choice to reduce our footprint. Please note: Glass 20.87 is not a hotel. There’s no front desk or concierge. Camila will welcome you for check-in between 4 PM and 10 PM (except Wednesdays). We are a couples-only retreat — guests must be 12 years or older. Guest access Your glass house offers total privacy and is fully equipped for a wonderful stay. The only shared space is the pool, though it’s often completely private as guests usually enjoy their own villas. You can walk or ride one of the bikes there, and you’ll find its exact location marked on the maps inside the brochure. (Some dishes only require mixing the final ingredients.) CEVICHES (for 2 people – 1 kg each) • Traditional Fish Ceviche – Fresh fish (Pargo or Zapatero), tomato, red onion, cucumber, oregano and tostadas. • Fish & Mango Ceviche – Fresh fish (Pargo or Zapatero), celery, parsley, red bell pepper, cherry tomatoes, chia seeds and tostadas. Other things to note Here are a few tips to help you enjoy your stay to the fullest: • Open all the windows and let the wind pass through the house. Let the butterfly come in, let the dragonfly dance around you — this is part of the magic of being here. • Turn on the wood-fired tubs on your private rooftop at night and watch for shooting stars. How many can you spot? • We recommend arriving during daylight, as we’re deep in the jungle and the access road has no artificial light — it’s part of the off-grid experience. • Check-in starts at 4 pm — just in time for sunset and for the jungle to begin to wake. • Bring your groceries before arriving. We’re secluded, and there are no stores nearby. • There’s no air conditioning, but nights are usually cool and comfortable. During the day, opening all the windows and using the fans keeps the house fresh. • Humidity levels vary throughout the year, and while it’s part of being in the jungle, we’ve designed the spaces to remain comfortable and well-ventilated. • During the day, open all the glass doors and let the jungle flow through your home. At night, close the main doors, leave open only those with mosquito screens, and spray the insect repellent before heading to the rooftop. When you return, the house will be fresh and mosquito-free — ready for a peaceful night surrounded by the sounds of the jungle. • Electricity is solar-powered, so please use it consciously. • Wi-Fi is available and strong. You’ll be able to stay connected or work remotely if needed. • This is the jungle, not the city. You may occasionally see insects or small creatures — it’s part of being surrounded by nature. It’s not common, but it can happen.
