Mountain vistas in all directions, breathtaking sunsets and dark skies the Southwest is famous for. 20 minute drive to the art, history & local eateries Tucson has to offer. Natural attractions, an endless sunshine, & The Loop bike trail (100+ miles circling Tucson, 4 miles from property.) The space SAGUARO SHADOWS GUEST HOUSE sits on 3 1/2 wild acres on the edge of town, across Old Spanish Trail from Saguaro National Park East. The space is a cozy 850 square foot home with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and a spacious covered patio, providing a comfortable stay for up to 4 people. The Guest House is co-located on the property with the owners' home, each building having a separate and distinct area of the land. Desert landscaping occupies the approximately 80' between buildings. The Guest House is private, with separate parking and 2 entrances. The home is a wonderful experience suited for adults. This property is not child friendly. BEDROOM 1 - Queen bed, private ensuite bath. BEDROOM 2 - Queen bed. KITCHENETTE - full size refrigerator, convection microwave, induction burner (see photos) and counter height dining table seating 4. Provisions for coffee lovers: grinder, pour over, french press, automatic drip coffee maker, filters, hot water kettle, Keurig, and coffee of your preference provided. LIVING AREA - leather seating, Smart ROKU TV set up for Netflix, and other app-based streaming (with one simple remote) Patio doors open to private outdoor space. MAIN BATH - 3/4 bath with tiled shower space. MASTER BATH - adjoins Master Bedroom, 3/4 bath with compact tiled shower space. PATIO - spacious, gently lit area accommodates meals in the fresh air. Grill and dining table, with room to unwind and enjoy the sunrise & sunset. BASE CAMP FOR BIKERS - Close proximity (4 miles) to The Loop Trail (50+ mile multi-use paved trail around Tucson.) Minutes from an 8 mile trail (paved and dirt) in Saguaro National Park East. Not suitable for pets or children under 12. Not suitable for groups larger than 4. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: "No Shoe Zone" Please remove shoes before entering. We ask this to keep toxin and bacteria levels down along with wear and tear. :) We are in the wild, so please watch your step on the property, especially at night. There is the very rare chance of encountering our resident Gila Monster, Willy. Gila Monsters are not aggressive, but may bite if threatened. He's only been spotted a handful of times in the hottest afternoons of late March-April. But he likes the sunny patios so we recommend following the local wisdom of "Don't put your hand or foot where you can't see." Other things to note Due to the desert setting, we hear occasional coyote calls at night or early morning. Quail, rabbits, birds, and lizards are on the property depending on the season. You may notice other desert animals in the neighborhood such as the elusive Gila Monster, Javalina or Bobcat, typical for the Sonoran Desert.
