Hot showers and flushing toilets are in a separate, unheated building about a 3 minute walk away. Glamping at its finest! The space Slow down and relax in our joyful yurt. They space is colorful with lots of light and one of the best views on the entire 5.6 acre property. The land is heavily treed with old firs and cedars and flowering plants from spring through autumn. We are located on the bank of the South Fork of the Santiam River about 3 miles north of the city of Sweet Home. There is a picnic table with a great view of the river just outside the yurt. The property has a separate, unheated bathroom building that includes 2 hot showers, 2 flushing toilets, 2 hand washing sinks and a separate, outdoor dish washing sink. Filtered well water for drinking is available as well. We recommend bringing a camp stove for cooking and a camp chair for outdoor relaxing. We have a total of 2 cabins, 1 yurt and a RV spot with full hook-ups on the property if you have friends or family who'd like to join you. Guest access Guest have access to the immediate area around the Yurt , bathroom building, labyrinth, river access with small beach, riverside fire pit area and multiple locations around the property to sit among the trees. We place hammocks around the property in the summer for guest use. Other things to note Canada geese, ducks, river otters, mink, deer, bald eagles and osprey frequent this stretch of the river. Unwind with a mindful walk through our stone labyrinth. Or hang a hammock between two of our old growth trees and nap to the sound of rushing water. We are a beginning hobby farm, currently home to pasture raised chickens and developing gardens. Seasonal produce and pasture raised eggs may be available for purchase during your stay. Due to high water in the rainy season, direct access to the river is typically available July - October. The river is full of trout, steelhead and coho salmon and fishing is allowed when in season with a valid fishing license. SUP, kayak or float to or from the property!
