Description

Golden Palm is our NEWEST vintage 1950's trailer. You’ll be staying in a time-capsule with modern comfort : Wifi, Smart-TV, and AC. You'll also be sleeping in a full-size memory foam bed. Step out of the trailer and enjoy the amenities of the entire mid-century modern home (kitchen, stove, fridge) with other Airbnb peeps. This trailer has an outside bathroom and shower shared with other trailers; glamping, with style! Golden Palm affords plenty of privacy. The space Please tell me about yourself when responding to the AIRBNB ad and why you're coming out -- it may help me; help you. Take the time to write a few lines about you -- after all, you're entering someone's home and it's the friendly thing to do. City of Palm Springs, License number City ID #4575 *Golden Palms is our newest addition to our vintage trailer family! We got her ready March 1, 2022. Please check out positive reviews and host details on our other vintage trailers in our community home. About this space: A great spot for artists, hikers, writers, photographers, and unique travelers -with unobstructed Mountain Views of Palm Springs and incredible sunsets. The Golden Palm has FULL speed WIFI, a Smart-TV, and memory foam mattress. Plus, if you need a pool or resort here in Palm Springs, purchase a day pass OR we have day pool options -- and you're just a drive away! You won't burn up in the trailer because we have an AC inside the trailer. It's like glamping but with modern amenities . Northern Palm Springs is occasionally windy ( but no worries, we have ear plugs to help you sleep) OR, you can bring some noise cancelling earphones in case it's windy. The kitchen and the outdoor bathroom are located outside of the trailer. Little dogs are welcomed however, you must inform me about your pet prior to booking as we only accept one guest with a pet at a time and some other guests may be allergic so we must consider others as well; an additional pet fee may apply. (Also, we may occasionally have other guests with dogs. Most of them are small dogs, however if there is an issue with a pet, please let us know and we can have our guest work with us). We are located near the mountain biking trails and the Palm Springs Tram and 5-min from the best restaurants, breweries and shops in Palm Springs. We are located in the Desert Gateway Highland Estates which was/is known as a predominately African-American community— now it’s being gentrified by artist and investors . It's a historical area of PS that was neglected for many years but it’s the only area in the entire city that allows and welcomes RV and trailers like ours. During Modernism Week tour buses come through here and visitors are explained the historic segregation that occurred back in the days. Through the years the area has been gentrifying with a mix of artists, investors, and people like me taking advantage of the mountain views and large estate lots of the 1960's. It's not a glam gated community but once you get into my home it feels like a private compound. I like the motto, "you come as a guest, leave as a friend" because you're in the home /trailer and it's just a great affordable and a unique place to chill and get to know people and explore our desert surroundings without wasting money on hotels. Guest access: Access to laundry, outdoor and indoor bathroom, out door fridge, inside living room, kitchen area etc.. are all within the main house, through a back entrance. You can even do some YOGA and meditation! There is an outdoor bathroom especially for our "trailer" guest (s) however you may use the indoor bathroom. The Golden Palm, has no shower or bath inside the trailer, though it's just a few steps away to the outdoor bathroom with outdoor access. Our vintage camper has an AC/heater. The trailer has all the benefits of camping - peaceful and cozy, sounds of nature (and sometimes neighbors, lol, rarely) with just the basic essentials of a comfy bed, a place to drink your coffee and eat your breakfast - but without having to haul a bunch of gear. Staying in the vintage trailer is a part of camping history in the 1950's and 60's. About me: I’ve been hosting Airbnb guests for more than 10 years. I do it off and on -- I was one of the pioneers of Airbnb in community based hosting at my beach houses in Tulum, Playa del Carmen and Puerto Vallarta. So... I consider myself a cool, well educated and well traveled guy/dude; Young spirited! I am doing my PhD in Epigenetic's psychology and currently work an emergency response psychologist; however, with covid19 things have changed. I do work full time and live here sometimes as I commute to-from-my Laguna Beach pad-house -- during most of the summer. I love meeting new people and hang around too many peeps to be confined to just one kind of community (not sure if that’s good or bad thing ). I have lived in New York City, Chicago, Iowa, Boston, San Diego, Los Angeles, and 5 years abroad. I like people who are seekers and adventurers. I really love the Airbnb cultural experience -- please, if you're not into the Airbnb experience don't bother booking this place -- you'll be sharing the main home (occasionally) with others -- or sometimes you'll have it all for yourself. I love people, spiritual seekers and strive in respecting others. Guest access You have access to the entire mid-century modern home. Please park and access the side gate entrance. We have parking inside. The local bus from the airport drops you off one block from the home. Registration Details 4575
