Enjoy a piece of yesteryear in historic Old Beaufort with all the conveniences of today. The Olde Town Beaufort House was originally built in 1855 and still exhibits the heart pine floors, the original glass and that old time craftsmanship. You will enjoy exploring the quaint town and its history, now three centuries old. The space Four bikes are included for cruising the streets of the third oldest town in North Carolina, and golf carts for rent nearby. Old Beaufort was founded in 1709 and has won numerous awards as the best small town by USA Today, Southern Living, Travel + Leisure, Budget Travel, and by Yachting magazine. The entire house is yours and affords plenty of room for large groups and family reunions. The house sleeps 13+. There are five bedrooms (2 king rooms, 1 queen, 1 queen with a twin, and a bunk bed with a daybed and trundle combo) and 4.5 baths. There is also a portable rollaway bed. The extra large sunroom is the perfect place to relax after a day of fun on the town. The “kids” have a separate TV and game room. The kitchen in this spacious house is brand new and fully equipped for large groups. There is a covered front and back deck. Everything is within walking distance. It’s just two and a half blocks to the shops on Front Street, including museums, restaurants, bars, and the waterfront with boats galore. Currently, the tallest sailboat in the world is docked here. You can rent a kayak or take a cruise to Cape Lookout and the barrier islands with a splendid assortment of seashells. Or just enjoy the view as did the old pirate Blackbeard - this was his haunt. Enjoy the free museum dedicated to him with a number of maritime classes available for young children up to adults. (Check out the NC Maritime Museum of Beaufort). Look for the wild horses on Carrot Island across the harbor of meander through town looking at the old houses dating back to the early 1700s. There is a large backyard with ample free parking. Easy self check-in key pad. Some of the best beaches in the state are within fifteen minutes.
