Great, affordable place to stay for traveling nurses and doctors, traveling through the area, visiting students @ Campbell, military @ Fort Bragg, off base housing, or short term apartment. Ranch house in a small neighborhood, off street parking, covered front porch and back deck with umbrella. Smart TV in the living room and unlimited WiFi. Park, hiking, boat rentals, and restaurants close by. Small dog part of home. You’ll love the quiet of the surrounding woods with easy access to North Carolina Highway 210 which will take you to Lillington, Fort Bragg or Spring Lake. The box springs, mattress and pillows all have protectors on them. I let my cats into the room between guests. The bed has a "cat" bedspread that I remove before making the bed, running the sweeper and running the air purifier. I also scrub the bathroom and lock the cats out of the space at least 24 hours before check-in. There is plenty of space in the fridge for you to bring food for cooking or bringing back left overs. I have 2 cats and a small dog. You have a TV in the living room and I have one in my office that I can watch so that you can watch whatever you want. I have an alarm system in which I will set you a personal code to use while you are here. You have full access to the kitchen. Feel free to cook, just clean up after yourself. If you want to stay longer than 2 months, please contact me. Livingroom, kitchen, front porch, deck, front and back yard, laundry area only in garage (laundry available when staying 5 days or more) I have a dog. He is friendly but does not like people near his face. So, say hi but pet him on his back. He does wear doggie diapers, so you do not have to worry about letting him out. Your door is shut unless you leave it open, so he will not be in your room unless you let him. I also have 2 cats. I am a teacher which makes me more available during the summer than the school year. From late August through mid July I am usually up around 4:30-5 A.M. during the week and about 6 or 7 A.M. on weekends. I get home around 5 P.M. unless we have an after school program. During the week you’ll find me going to bed around 8 P.M. Weekends it just depends but usually around 9 P.M., sometimes 11 P.M. I have a TV in my office so that you can watch whatever you like on the living room TV. I can come out and watch TV or a movie if you would like - just ask. If I'm grading papers or something else, maybe next time. I love being outside and will work in the yard or on outside house repairs whenever I can. I also enjoy hiking or hanging at friends and families, so I’m often in and out during the summer. I teach middle school, so sometimes we have games and such that I attend. I will be able to access my cell phone after 3:00 unless I am in a meeting. I do check my cellphone on my breaks but if you were to have an emergency you may call my school and they will transfer the call. My neighborhood is a nice quiet area with about 10 house on my short street and about 15 houses on the street off the main road. It's quiet and peaceful but you are not so far back from the road to feel isolated. You will see neighborhood kids riding bikes, so please be careful. You'll need to drive to where you are going but as everything you need is within 20-25 minutes away. It will take about 25-30 minutes to get to Campbell University - perfect for parents of Campbell students (close, convenient but not too expensive). Fort Bragg is about 20-25 minutes away - perfect for parents of military stationed at Fort Bragg, soldiers stationed at Fort Bragg who do not want to live on base or in a hotel, contractors or soldiers visiting Fort Bragg. The town of Lillington is 20-25 minutes away. The town is a flashback to the smaller towns with big homes and big porches. You can swing into town and enjoy the hometown restaurants, thrift stores or check out the canoe rental company. Go another 5 minutes and you'll find Enterprise car rental, Taco Bell, Zaxby, McDonalds and other fast-food restaurants. You are only 5 minutes from Food Lion (grocery store), 2o minutes from Walmart and about 25 minutes from a Planet Fitness. Several freeways - All American, & Interstate 295, NC 210, NC 401 are within 15-20 minutes and can take you to the mall for shopping, movies or Fort Bragg. Anderson Creek park is about 10 minutes away and has walking trails, a small playground and a Frisbee golf course. Raven Rock National Park is about 25 minutes away and offers extensive hiking trails and camping. Anderson Creek Community and Golf Course are 5 minutes away. In the summer, I keep the temperature between 70 and 73 which makes it feel not quite so hot when you go outside. During the winter, I keep the temperatures between 68 and 72. I have fans and heaters available for your room, living room or kitchen if you like it a little warmer or cooler. You will find extra blankets in the hall closet if you need them for your bed or if you would like one when you are watching TV. During the summer, I open the blinds in the front during the mornings and close them during the afternoon when we get the hot afternoon sun. During the cooler months, I like to keep the windows open and enjoy bringing some of the outside inside. I will keep the curtains closed during the day if I’m not home. You’ll find a small kitchen fire extinguisher and a larger one for the rest of the house. First aid supplies for the house are in the guest bathroom. I love plants, so you will find plants in just about every room. For extended stays, I have an extra set of sheets so that they can be changed weekly if you would like. The box springs, mattress and pillows have protectors on them. The hall bathroom door stays open when not in use for circulation. Otherwise, it gets very cold in the bathroom.
