We welcome you to "The Lapa". Enjoy a unique tranquil, private blissful Kwa-Zulu Natal Hospitality experience, sleeping under thatch. Here you can relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of our little piece of paradise. Nestled in a green belt, Valley of a Thousand Hills, The Lapa is centrally located situated in an area that is rich in birdlife, sunbirds, purple crested lourie, occasionally Serval cats, Duiker. The Spotted Eagle Owl often hoots at night. We refer you to Other Details to Note . The space The Lapa is situated in a 1 acre panhandle property bounded on all sides with neighbouring 1 acre properties It is a self contained unit of some 200m2 under thatch, with a downstairs living 140m2, kitchenette, bathroom area and an upstairs mezanine bedrooms , workstation deck 65m2, separated from the main house by the swimming pool. The garden is planted with indigenous trees, shrubs , fruit trees The unit is fully equipped for all your self-catering needs, TV, kitchenette with a built-in and outside braai, a fireplace for those chilly KZN nights and a sparkling pool. There are two bedrooms, an open-plan lounge and fully equipped kitchen that flow onto the pool side and garden patio area, and a bathroom that opens into nature.. Upstairs is the main bedroom, with double bed, overlooking a lush tropical garden. Heading off the main bedroom is a smaller room with two single beds and an equally spectacular view. Guest access The guest accommodation is the complete detached Lapa unit , pool and the garden area surrounding the Lapa is guests own garden . An outside garden patio suit area and braai slab is available . Guest private vehicular access is from the street, through a large green palisade sliding gate between two brick pillars, down the panhandle , and follow the signs past and around the main house to the Lapa grassed own parking bay adjacent to the unit. Gate keys and sliding gate remote allow guests own access during their stay Please refer to Other Details to Note Other things to note General and obvious fire precautions area requested, as the lapa is a thatched structure . No naked flames are permitted other than within the internal braai and fireplace and the external braai slab which is situated well away from the thatched roof. Smoking allowed within the downstairs living area only and well away from any thatch. No smoking allowed upstairs. No naked flames of any sort ie candles are allowed within the structure and near thatch. Fire extinguishers and battery lamp have been provided should there be load shedding . The unit is fully equipped for all your self-catering needs, with a built-in and outside braai, a fireplace for those chilly KZN nights and a sparkling pool for those hot and muggy KZN days. There are two upstairs bedrooms, a downstairs open-plan lounge and fully equipped kitchen that flow onto the poolside patio area, and a bathroom opening to nature. Upstairs some, 60m2 is the main bedroom, with double bed, overlooking a lush tropical garden. Heading off the main bedroom is a smaller room with two single beds. Downstairs area, some 120m2, is the lounge, Kitchenette, bathroom. There are coffee , tea facilities, iron and ironing table, microwave, four plate stove and oven, fridge/freezer combo, hair drier, Internal and external braai (BBQ), TV with DSTV, Wifi.
