Looking for a quiet place to rest after a day filled with hiking and exploration in Acadia National Park? Look no further - Downeast Hideaway is perfect for the adventurers looking for a cozy home away from home to rest and relax after fun-filled adventurous days. Follow our adventures on IG @Downeast.Hideaway The space This charming home is located on a quiet road. The cozy living room will be perfect to come home to after a long day exploring, and the full kitchen offers the option to cook in, if you’d like. We also have an office space set up off the kitchen if you are looking for a place to work away from home. The first bedroom has a king sized bed and the second bedroom has a queen sized bed. Both bedrooms are located upstairs. There are 2 bathrooms, the downstairs bathroom has a shower while the upstairs bathroom has a soaking tub with jets. The backyard has a fire pit, we do not supply wood but you can find some down the street at Hancock Grocer. *Please* be responsible & respectful when using the fire pit - don’t leave fires unattended, don’t break/throw glass or anything other than firewood into the fire. Guest access Guests will have access to the whole house, with the exception of the externally accessed basement. Guests will also have full access to the front and backyard. Other things to note Please do not park on the grass. There is ample space in the driveway for 2 cars. We only have sleeping accommodations in our house for 4 people, please inquire first if you would like to bring more than 4. Thank you! While on Hancock point visit the incredible Tidal Falls and Carter's Beach, both are just minutes away. Hancock point also has some short hiking trails and preserves for you to enjoy during your stay. Gull Rock Pottery is right up the road, shop for some beautiful pottery and enjoy some scenic views. Head over to Ellsworth (~15 minute drive) for restaurants and grocery stores, or a bit further to Bar Harbor for additional options. Hancock Point is directly between Mount Desert Island and the Schoodic Peninsula, each which house parts of Acadia National Park. Parts of Acadia National Park are just 35 minutes away, while some other popular attractions such as Park Loop Road are about 50 minutes away. We have a camera at the front door for security purposes only. No smoking or vaping inside the house.
