Relax and unwind in our newly built cottage (Spring of 2022), nestled in the woods just outside the town of Appomattox. Our cottage is the perfect escape for couples or for a family getaway. Enjoy local shops, dining, our historical landmarks, theater, and countless other places to visit in Appomattox. A quick 20 minute drive leads you to downtown Lynchburg with even more dining and entertainment options. We are 22 minutes from Liberty University. The space Our cottage is built on a wooded lot surrounded by nature. This home was built by your host, Kelly, exclusively as a vacation rental, with all facets of hosting and guest's interests considered. Our main level boasts an open layout of the living, dining and kitchen areas. The living room has an electric fireplace to add warmth and ambiance. The half bath, which houses our stackable washer and dryer, is also located on the main level. Upstairs you will find the two bedrooms...one queen bedroom (with another smart TV) and one bedroom with two twin beds. Our fifth sleeping option is a CordaRoy convertible bean bag chair. Upstairs you will also find the full bathroom as well as a balcony overlooking the living room below. The cottage is located less that one mile from Falling River Country Club where guests can enjoy our local pool and golf course (for an additional discounted fee). Less than a mile in the other direction is the outdoor theater location of Wolfbane Productions, our local professional performing arts organization. A quick, five minute drive will take you to Main Street Appomattox where you can enjoy local dining and shops. The Appomattox Court House National Historical Park is only a 10 minute drive. Be sure to take in all that our historical area has to offer! The cottage is also conveniently located close to both Lynchburg and Farmville areas where you can find local colleges and plenty of shopping, dining and exploring opportunities. We are also less than an hour drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway and all of the hiking, scenery and breweries/restaurants that area offers. Your host lives just down the street from the cottage, so you will have complete privacy, but quick assistance if needed for any reason.
