Away ... catching the Sun at A Place on the River

RELAX from daybreak till eventide in a view-filled space. Enjoy the garden. Watch for bald-eagles. Dock your (small) boat. Fish. Bring your bike. Swim. Play. BarBQ a sunset dinner. Watch the night sky. Day trip to Montreal or Ottawa 1 hour either way. Dedicated work space and Wifi. Note: There is NO air conditioning but there are lots of shade trees. Regarding 1 recent review: Well water has been restored by our new treatment system. Bring all supplies 1st thing-you won’t want to leave!! The space A shady, idyllic space for family relaxed holidays with sunrises and sunsets reflecting in the river water. Private. Easy parking, main entry (west side of house) is steps away. On entry, go up or down 8 stairs each way. Going up leads to kitchen, dining, living room and balcony for afternoon coffee in the shade and watching the river and dock activity. Up 5 more steps to loft for bedroom (queen), bathroom, and small office space. Or, from the entry, go down 8 stairs to open concept space, office with wall-fold-out bed (double), bedroom (queen), bathroom and laundry. From downstairs 2 step up leads to east patio for a sunrise breakfast. West patio has wood fireplace and propane gas BarBQ, perfect for a sunset suppers. 18 stairs down to the riverfront. Dock can tie off a small boat. Launch at marina. Lots to do between Ottawa and Montreal, both a little more than an hour. Guest access Whenever possible for us, we like to greet our guests on check-in day and wish Bon Voyage on check-out day as well. There is a door code that we will give to registered guests only. Other things to note A family and friend, quiet, relaxing holiday space. Airbnb registered guests Only. NO unregistered guests NO parties NO flying drones NO smoking, NO marijuana, NO drugs Children must be accompanied at all times and especially at the riverside. Kayaks are for adult use only. Quiet time from 9:30p.m. - 8 a.m. Check in is 4 pm to 8 pm Check out by 10 am.
