The space Outdoors The house is located in a calm, quiet village and is surrounded by a private outdoor garden with a wide variety of trees and shaded spots. Private, fenced-off parking ensures privacy and security. The property is an ideal place for relaxation. During the day, you can soak up the sun from the loungers on the grass, read in the shade, or make a BBQ. When darkness falls, the sky lights up with stars and you can stargaze from the outdoor furniture amongst the fruit trees. A mini-market with a traditional café can be found 100m away, there is a small gym 120m away, and within 5km a full-size supermarket. Chania Center: Chania’s historical and beautiful Venetian Harbor and Old Town are a mere 28km drive. The cobbled alleys of the Old Town are filled with hidden gems, from small boutiques to tavernas offering local delicacies. Chania center is a large, cosmopolitan city, and you can easily spend a whole day here shopping, dining, and sightseeing. Beaches and Seaside: West Crete is home to many stunning beaches and attractions. The seaside village of Kolimbari is 5km away where you can swim in the clear blue sea, visit the monastery of Panagia Odigitria, eat a meal in the local tavernas, or sip a coffee while enjoying the sea view. The port of Kissamos is only 13km away. From here, you can hop on a day cruise to experience the world-famous Balos Lagoon and Gramvousa Island. Drive 23km, and you’ll discover the beaches of Falasarna. History and Culture: The famous Venizelos graves are located 41km away, where you can admire amazing, panoramic views of the entire city. Dining, Drinking, and Shopping: Just 18km away are the busier areas of Platanias and Agia Marina. These towns are popular with tourists and are home to beach bars, pool bars for dancing and live music by the sea, souvenir shops, and restaurants serving both international and local cuisine. Southern Crete: It’s well worth spending some extra time traveling to see what Southern Crete has to offer. We recommend hiking through the Samarian Gorge, taking a dip in Agia Roumeli, swimming in the baths of Sfakion, diving in the pink sand beaches of Elfonissi and Kedrodassos, and visiting the town of Paliochora to sunbathe on the beach and shop for souvenirs.
