The space A cozy 3-bedroom cottage with an open floor plan, plenty of natural light, and a beautiful outdoor space. On over an acre of property overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the Saltwater Shanty is yours for the week. Guests will enjoy a fully equipped kitchen with everything needed to prepare a traditional Island meal. The Saltwater Shanty comes stocked with fresh towels, linens, and brand new beds and mattresses. The two Queen bedrooms have ample closet space, with hangers and clothing organizers supplied. The Twin bedroom has two new twin beds, and two accompanying dressers. Kick back and relax in the beautiful, open concept, living area or enjoy a home-cooked meal in the dining area. Guests will find free Wi-Fi along with a flat screen TV and Chromecast device for all of your streaming needs on those rare rainy days! Or, keep yourself entertained with a host of board games, books, and outdoor games supplied for all guests. Enjoy your coffee in the morning and your beverage-of-choice in the evening, while you sit out on the wrap around deck taking in the breathtaking views of the New London Bay and the PEI sand dunes. Guests will also want to take advantage of the outdoor pergola and firepit. Enjoy the sunset with a meal off of the brand-new barbeque, while you nestle into the outdoor seating area or pull up a seat at the picnic table. Feel like exploring? Guests are welcome to full access of the amenities offered by the Hebrides. Whether you feel like stopping in at the clubhouse and games room, taking a dip in the community swimming pool, having a swing at the private 3-par golf course, or simply taking a stroll down the beautiful red roads of the Hebrides community. Whatever it may be, the Saltwater Shanty has everything you need for your perfect PEI vacation. Guest access Everything in the Saltwater Shanty and on its property is yours to use. Guests will find lawn games and beach toys in the shed on the property, along with a few bikes to help you explore the Hebrides. If you love to cook outdoors – you’re in luck! Guests have access to brand-new barbeque as well as an outdoor fire-pit for roasting marshmallows, or even cooking lobsters! All of the appliances in the Saltwater Shanty are brand new, including the fridge, stove and oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, Keurig coffee machine, and blender. The cupboards are stocked with cookware, dishware, utensils, and all of your cooking essentials. For our guests’ convenience, there is a washer and dryer located within the guest shed on the property. Guests will have full access to the entire property, with ample (free) parking space available along the tree line to the left side of the Shanty. The Hebrides community pool is opened at the end of June, and closes at the end of August. Hours of operation of the clubhouse and swimming pool are from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. The clubhouse will be locked from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m. Other things to note You are 17 minutes to Kensington, where you will find gas, groceries, drug store, liquor store, library, pool, restaurants, gym - all the amenities of a mid-size town. You are 32 minutes to Summerside and a larger shopping center with Walmart, Canadian Tire, Sport Check, etc. Summerside is home to a lovely waterfront boardwalk, theatre, shops, and restaurants on the water. You are 42 minutes to Charlottetown, the historical capital of PEI, which is also home to a beautiful waterfront boardwalk, and a vibrant downtown bustling with shops and restaurants. You are just 2 minutes to the stunning Stanley Bridge, where you can enjoy quaint shops, fabulous sea food, and stunning landscapes. You are 10 minutes to Cavendish, home of Anne of Green Gables and the famous Cavendish Boardwalk! Explore countless stunning beaches, hit the restaurants and shops, or just relax!
