A peaceful location with magnificent view. The cabin is partially an old timber lodge, with an extension from 2006. A hallway, livingroom, kitchen, bathroom and a bedroom is at your disposal. Water and electricity is available. There is a cross country ski run adjacent to the property. Winterparking is 5-10 minutes away by cross country skis as the roads leading all the way to the cabin in summer, are ski runs in winter. "Cinderella Ecocat" incineration toilet. Bring sheets, bedding and towels. The space NOTE! Read and understand. You can not drive a car to the cabin when it is snow present. Important safety info for any guests arriving during winter below: Cabin with an added shed situated in the wild an untamed Norwegian wilderness. 3 wood fireplaces are available, firewood can be chopped at location by guests according to needs. Enjoy the magnificent views and the serene sorroundings, perhaps only interrupted by a selection of boardgames to be found on location. There are great kiting locations nearby, crosscountry ski runs adjacent to the property, and Geilo alpinecenter is a 20 minutes drive away. During summertime, you can find the worldfamous biketrail "Rallarvegen" 10 starting 2 kilometers away from the cabin. Nearest crocery shop is to be found at Ustaoset, a 10 minutes drive away. The cabin will be cold upon arrival in the winter and will need to be heated by you upon arrival. If you turn on all the heaters on full power at once, the fuses might switch off. If that happens, turn down the power on the heaters or switch on of them off, and switch the fuse back on. You will find the fusebox by opening the hatch in the ceiling above the bed in the bedroom. SUMMER / AUTUMN: From late June until mid November before snowfall, there is a driveable gravelroad all the way to the property. Parking for 4 cars are available at the property. WINTER / WINTERPARKING AFTER SNOWFALL (You can NOT drive all the way to the cabin when there is snow, you have to walk from a parkinglot, it is a 10 minutes journey with crosscountry skis. The parkinglot is labeled 16/255 on a sign and is located next to the exit from the parkinlot onto the main road. Further details can be seen in the listing pictures) : From mid November when the snow has settled, you will not be able to drive to the cabin. If you arrive during the winter, you should arrive while daylight is still present. If you arrive in the dark it will be difficult for you to navigate and find the location for the first time, bring flashlights as there are no lighting besides the moon, the stars and the reflections from the snow. In other words, in cloudy winter conditions, the nature surrounding the property might become pitch black. From the winterparking, there are prepared ski runs, (details regarding the tracks can be found in the prospect pictures.) which may be walked with proper snowboots. However, it is highly recommended that you make this last part of the journey on skis, as the last 100 metres from the skirun towards the cabin might be practically impossible to walk as you will sink deep into the lose snow. You should estimate 10 minutes by ski from the parking to the cabin in winter, by foot will take longer than with skis. If you are not feeling confident, do feel free to book a ride with the local snowmobil taxi. It must be booked 2 days in advance and can carry 3 persons with their luggage. You have to expect a 15 minutes walk from the parkinglot to the cabin under these cicumstances. There is excellent 5G coverage on site, and you will be able to stream videos or do online work via your cellphone 5G connections. Guest access The complete property is at your disposal. Other things to note Guests have to bring their own sheets, bedding and towles. Cleaning is not included, and you have a duty to clean and wash the property so it is ready for new guests. It is you responsibility to keep the standards high, so the coming guests will not give a low cleanliness rating. Detergents and all needed equipment for correct cleaning is to be found in the cupboard below the kitchen sink. If you are bringing a pet, make sure to take extra care while cleaning. The cabin has a "Cinderella Ecocat" incinerating toilet. It is not a regular flushing toilet. PS! There are animals living in the wild, remember to keep any dog on a leash from 1. April until 31. October.
