Beautiful 1880s Cottage on a high bluff with 180 degree views of East Penobscot Bay overlooking a beach in Dark Harbor for swimming and picnicking. Situated on 10 acres, the knotty pine, classic Victorian Cottage has 1880s details with 4 bedrooms, renovated kitchen and bathroom with shower plus an outdoor shower and wrap around deck with island views. The Cottage has high speed broadband internet ideal for your work from home needs -- supporting multiple users, video conferencing etc. The space The cottage is about 15 minute drive from the ferry and sits on 10 acres, at end of 2/10 mile long driveway. Fields of raspberries, blackberries and ferns descend to edge of bluff with trails for easy picking while enjoying water views. Walk up the front stairs to the wrap around porch--a sunny, warm spot for coffee, dinner or enjoying the outdoors. Walk inside to the living room. The living room has a cozy wood burning fireplace. The bathroom is on the first floor with a shower. There is also an outdoor shower with amazing water views. Four bedrooms are upstairs on the second floor. The primary bedroom has a beautiful balcony overlooking the East Penobscot Bay--perfect for morning coffee or stargazing. Guests have access to the host's rock and pebble beach -- great for swimming, hunting tide pools, sunbathing and picnicking. The beach overlooks a huge view of the islands of East Penobscot Bay (Little Spruce Head and Compass directly east). Guest access The driveway and expansive lawn are shared with the owner’s house located about 75 yards away. Owners are in residence. Each house has its own separate parking area.
