The space Huckleberry Acres is nestled at the bottom of the mountain in Margaretville NY, located in the beautiful Catskill Mountains. Perfect for all outdoor activities including skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and other winter sports! Includes access to 4 kayaks (in season) stored at the Pepacton Reservoir! We have beautiful rock formations in the backyard and gorgeous sunsets visible from our huge 750 square-foot deck in the front yard! At night, you won't believe how many stars there are in the sky! Great for a romantic night of stargazing! You will have the entire house to yourself. Don’t worry, you don’t have to sacrifice technology for nature! We have a strong Internet connection for streaming movies and shows and Wi-Fi calling. It’s just a short 3-minute drive to wonderful restaurants, antique shops, boutiques, cafés, coffee shops, and a full-size grocery store. We are 10 mins from where the Kayaks are stored at Shavertown Bridge on the Pepacton Reservoir, 15 mins from skiing & snowboarding at Belleayre Mountain, 25 mins from Plattekill Mountain, 47 mins from Hunter Mountain and 49 mins to Windham. To complete your storybook experience, after skiing or hiking, come home and cuddle up to your loved ones with a cup of hot chocolate in front of our gas fireplace! The luxurious king size log bed, located in the En suite, brings the rustic beauty and serenity of the great outdoors from the outside to the inside! The attached bathroom includes a large vanity and large tiled shower. Also located in the En suite is a comfy chair great for reading or watching TV on the 65 inch Roku TV! All TVs include complimentary Hulu, Disney+ & ESPN+. We also provide tons of DVD’s from a variety of genres. The En suite bedroom and living room both have Blue Ray DVD players. The kitchen is extremely spacious and has an open concept dining room (which contains a fireplace) and living room. It has an industrial style island perfect for food preparation and is fully stocked. You will love our coffee bar which includes an espresso machine with a milk frother and a Keurig coffee maker. We include a starter amount of espresso, coffee, herbal teas, creamers, sugar and stevia packets. Your family will also enjoy our pizza and wine bar which includes a pizza stone, a pizza peel with pizza cutter (very sharp so keep out of the reach of children), a wine carafe and wine glasses (you must bring your own wine). There is a stainless steel electric stove with a convection oven which is great for cooking those holiday turkeys! Speaking of the holidays, if you’re looking for a nice festive place to celebrate them, we include fall and Christmas decorations (including a Christmas tree) to add a little holiday cheer! The kitchen also contains a dishwasher and full-size refrigerator/freezer and a large dining room table. The dining room has a beautiful view through the sliding glass doors that open to the amazing rock formations in the backyard! The dining room also contains the fireplace and an oversized egg chair perfect for reading a book. For your convenience, we have included a large capacity washer and dryer with a small amount of scent free laundry detergent to get you started. We also include starter amounts of dish detergent, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and body gel. We also provide a variety of board games for use while on the property. The second bedroom includes a King size bed and a 55 inch Roku TV with Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+ and has a bathroom located right across the hall. The third bedroom has a Queen size bed and 55 inch Roku TV also with Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+. It is also located right next to the second bathroom. The second bathroom has a bathtub and shower. Each bedroom, the dining room, and the living room all have ceiling fans. For your comfort, most rooms have individually controlled heaters as well. Please help our environment by turning off lights when not in use and turning down the heat when you leave the property. As dog lovers ourselves, we are happy to be a dog friendly property! Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate cats or other animals due to severe allergies in our family. All pets must be friendly and pre-approved and cannot be left unattended unless they are in a crate. No pets allowed on the furniture please. For the safety of our guests, we include outdoor security cameras. For your convenience and safety, we provide smart locks with private codes that expire at checkout time. Although Wii-Fi calling is needed on the property, less than 2 minutes away there is full cell phone service. Traveling with friends? Ask about our neighboring 2-bedroom property with a 2 person rain shower! Hiking:🌲🌲🌲 Although we do not have groomed trails on our property, if you do roam the woods, eventually, you will reach the groomed trails owned by the DEP. Please use the utmost precaution however, because initially accessing the woods may be challenging for some individuals, especially if you have an injury or disability. Walking by the waterfall can also be dangerous so exercise extreme caution. Consult your doctor if you have any questions about your ability to hike safely. Hiking on our property is done at your own risk. Remember, there are many areas on the property that could be dangerous for children also, so they must be supervised at all times. We will not be held responsible for any injuries that may occur. Please note: the pond neighboring our property, does not belong to us. Please do not fish or utilize the pond in anyway.
