The Oceanic Ventures Hideaway

The Oceanic Ventures Hideaway is a fully furnished, one bedroom apartment, located in Bellaire close to downtown Houston, the Texas Medical Center, Rice University, and the Galleria. Furnished simply with a queen sized bed, large leather sofas, tables and chairs, a large screen television and internet. It comes with: towels, bed linens, a full kitchen with a conventional oven, microwave oven, refrigerator, ice maker, and backyard with bar-b- que grill. The apartment is smoke & pet free. The space The Hideaway is the back half, upstairs of a 1954 Duplex that has been converted to a retail SCUBA store and educational facility. The apartment has it's own private entrance from the outside with parking in front of the building. It is specially decorated and meant to feel comfortable and easy. Guests are always welcome to join in the activities going on at the store. Since building has centrally controlled heating and air conditioning, we provide a space heater if you like it warmer and a moveable room cooling unit if you like it cooler. We try to keep the temp around 72 year round and can slightly modify it even remotely if needed. Guest access Of course the Hideaway apartment is your to use and you are free to use the grills and patio in the backyard. Propane is generally available but if you prefer charcoal, you may have to bring your own or use some if it is there. There are out door yard games, a fire pit, picnic tables, and chairs for friends to gather. Other things to note Located a quarter block from the Bissonnet Street Ride Metro Line 065 (Houston Metro Bus System) which will take you directly to the Medical Center, Museum District, Rice University Campus and a stop for the Light Rail which transits from Downtown thru the Medical Center to the Stadium. Medical students and Rice graduate students have been guests, as well as consultants and remote workers looking for something unique.
