⁕1866 Antique Hand Hewn 3 Story Log Cabin⁕
The Red Rose Ranch is an incredible one of a kind country estate. A 3 story 4000 sq ft antique custom-built hand hewn log home with 5 rolling county acres. Three log cabins were combined to build this one in 2001 on this location. Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place. A place to relax and spend time with your extended family and friends. The space The cabin sits back away from the road in a rural area of Indiana. Very quiet and relaxing. Also, it's a very safe area. The neighbor on one side has horses, which you may see occasionally (they have a large property). The neighbor on the other side has many cows (another large property) - so far they seem to stay away from being near our fence line, but they're fun to see from the road. The cabin has only one entrance that has a normal modern lock. The side facing the street has an antique-style deadbolt lock, which is not going to open from the outside. Same for the porch on the right when you are on the parking lot side - another deadbolt lock that only opens from the inside. The small porch next to the carport has the modern lock, which can be opened with entering a code, or with a physical key. We will provide the code to use within 24 to 48 hours of arrival. In the event of any problems with the code, we also have a physical key on premises. Alexa installed throughout the cabin (Kitchen, Dining Room, Queen bedroom, and on the 2nd floor with the King bed). The entire property is on well water. There is a 5-stage reverse osmosis system installed in the cabin for drinking water or for cooking - although the well water tastes fine! We also leave some bottled waters in the fridge if guests still are concerned. Guest access Guests are able to access the cabin and the 5 acres of land that it sits on. The event venue building will be locked, unless the guest makes a reservation for it ahead of time. Cleaning the cabin and getting it ready for the next guest takes about 4 hours, the event venue building also would take another 4 hours to clean and get ready so it is locked to keep it ready for the next event! The 3rd floor of the cabin is only used for storage and is unfinished at this time. Guests are able to access the 3rd floor, but beware the stairs leading up are very steep - not recommended for everyone. There is a campfire area along with lots of wood ready to go! There is an orchard with many different fruit trees. Guests are welcome to pick fruit and enjoy while staying at the cabin. Other things to note Security video cameras are installed along the outside of the cabin that are on 24 hours/7 days a week. These are video-only and none point inside the cabin. The hosts do not live on this property and it sits empty when not used by guests, hence the need for security cameras. There are two video doorbells that we can be reached with. Ringing the doorbell on either side of the back of the cabin will result in a ring on the hosts' cell phone. We will be able to answer back to you, if there are any questions - otherwise these are video only and are not recording sound. The cabin has central heat and air, however there are lots of fireplaces to also make use of. The Queen bedroom has a fireplace that runs on propane - this can be turned on or off using a remote. The first floor living room area has a wood burning stove, guests are welcome to start a fire (we stock lots of firewood). The first floor dining room has a propane fireplace. The bunk-bed room on the first floor has a portable electric heater that heats up that room very nice and toasty when the door is closed. The second floor has a wood-pellet stove close to the king bed. The second floor also has an electric fireplace that can emit heat if desired, or just display flames without actual heat.
