Large furnished bell tents set in the stunning and historical setting of Mannington Hall and Gardens just outside Itteringham in North Norfolk. Get back to nature in style! We have 6 furnished tents on our 2.5 acre field with field shelter, sauna and pizza oven, and one in it's own private meadow in the grounds, available in August. The space Inside - There'll be a double or single bed configuration, whatever you need for your group. The double beds (with proper mattresses!) and single camp beds are made up with duvets and pillows with 100% cotton sheets and pillow cases. Leave the sleeping bags at home! All of our tents come equipped with an in tent log burner!! Now you can enjoy the changing seasons in the North Norfolk countryside and coast, and then warm your toes in front of the fire!! There are apple crates to use as bed side tables, or a centre table or storage, and cushions. An led hurricane lamp is supplied with either a winder, recharchable batteries or solar power. A trunk has been placed in each tent and given a new use as a cool box come table. There is a freezer on site for changing the cool packs over. To keep your cosy tent comfortable inside throughout your stay, we've provided a large bell tent awning, creating a shelter for boots, cooking, and maybe some star gazing. Kitchen box - Each tent will be provided with a fire pit which also doubles up as a bbq, and a gas stove for your culinary camping creations. Keeping it stylish, there will also be a crate of vintage inspired cooking and dining ware, as follows... enamel dining ware, plate, bowl and mug for each person, cooking pots, frying pan, kettle, tea/coffee pot, spatula, wooden spoons, serving spoons, masher, sieve, tea/coffee strainer, bottle opener (an important one), can opener, cutlery, scourer, tea towels. If we've forgotton anything, please let us know. There will also be a box of basic pantry essentials....oil, salt, pepper and sugar. What we supply... tent with deck and awning double bed with proper mattress, pillows and duvet single camp beds with duvet, sheet and pillow wood burning stove coolbox lighting - (ambient - bring extra torch or lantern) kitchen box with cooking and dining equipment basic pantry essentials picnic table fire pit hot showers cold water on the field and hot water washing up facilities outside the shower block! amazing locations!!! Outside - There's a picnic table for each tent, a fire pit / bbq, jam jars and tea lights. Fire starting kit and some wood for the first night supplied. More can be picked up from the honesty shop. There is a washing up area near the tents with running water and washing up liquid. WC and keeping clean - There are 7 toilets and 4 hot showers around 200m away. There is also a facilities block with 7 loos and 4 hot showers around 500m away along with hot water washing up facilities outside the shower block. There is a cold water stand pipe behind the sauna which is suitable for drinking. Fridges - There are freezers housed outside the shower block where you can find frozen hot water bottles to use as cool packs in your 'cool boxes' in your tent. (Tin trunks) Honesty shop - Situated in the field shelter, for things you may need for your stay - kindling, logs, charcoal, cooking gas, matches, candles......etc!There are invoice books allocated to each tent where you can keep a tally of the things you use during your stay - just settle up when you leave either with cash in the honesty box in the field shelter before you leave the site. The a field shelter is kitted out with seating and ping pong table and games, and our woodstore honesty shop. Around the corner is the wood fired pizza oven and sauna in the corner of the field. with outside sauna shower. Amber's Bell Tent Camping aims to take the hassle out of camping by supplying everything you need for a relaxing stylish comfortable camping experience, thus avoiding the never ending packing before your trip, and the dreaded unpacking at the end, leaving you more time to relax! Guest access Our campers have exclusivity to camping at Mannington, with a maximum 9 tents on the 2.5 acre field, there is no chance of crowds. The gardens at Mannington are open to the public a couple of times a week, but our campers are allowed access throughout their stay. Check out the rose gardens for a great spot for a game of hide and seek, and the water meadow for nature spotting. Extras and add ons - here at ABTC we offer additional services to help make your stay with us even more special. Intent massage from acclaimed local sports massage therapist. Bikes dropped to your tent. Hampers and cakes available to order. There are cultivated gardens circling the moated house, with walled gardens housing heritage garden planting, with stunning herbaceous borders, fern gardens, roses (over 1000 varieties), and areas for interest for the younger ones too, with willow tunnels and insect investigations. Further away from the house, there are landscaped lakes, surrounded by over 50 species of different trees, with walks through the blue bells and rhododendrens. Wild flowers and plants are encouraged on the water meadow, where you'll find a board walk to a hide, over looking another lake where otters and kingfishers are regularly seen. This is an ideal place for a spot of pond dipping, the water holes always hosting a display of different damsel and dragon flies in the summer months. Other things to note We have 9 bell tents and only one calender, so if it's says we're booked, that may only be one tent, so please drop me a message :) It's a Monday or Friday check in, with 2 night weekends available during term times and 3 nights during school hols. Mobile signal is limited here - please print out your maps and info before you arrive. There is wifi signal up near the v/c. I will send out the code with your arrival info.
