The Cottage at Hidden Valley Farm & Barn

Welcome to Hidden Valley! When booking your stay, you'll have exclusive access to our three bedroom/two bathroom guest cottage! You'll be surrounded by mountainous views and pastures. Snuggle on the wrap around porch, roast marshmallows in the fire pit, and visit with horses, cattle, and our Sulcata tortoise! This is a working farm and you'll frequently see and hear farm machinery(tractors/atvs/etc.), livestock (cattle/horses/a donkey/4 dogs/a cat),and wildlife (coyotes/turkeys/deer). The space While at the cottage, you'll feel secluded from the busy life that normally surrounds us, however, still be conveniently located near Lexington and Staunton. Enjoy visiting with our farm animals including horses, a donkey, Angus and Scottish Highland cows, a cat, four (4) very friendly dogs and our large Sulcata tortoise! This is a working farm and you'll frequently see and hear farm machinery(tractors/atvs/etc.), livestock (cattle/horses/a donkey/4 dogs/a cat), and wildlife (coyotes/turkeys/deer). Our guest cottage offers 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, electric oven, dishwasher, toaster, air fryer, and a combo coffee pot that brews coffee grounds or K-Cups! You'll also find kid friendly dinnerware, pots and pans, and cooking/grilling utensils in the kitchen. The dining room accommodates 6 guests and we have a portable highchair available as well. Upstairs you'll find a cozy living room to relax and watch tv or pick a movie from our collection! Board games, children's toys and a portable pack n play are also provided. No hosting of events, parties, celebrations, or any other types of gatherings that exceed ten (10) people. Starlink Wi-Fi is available at the cottage. Cell phone service is limited around the farm! With Verizon, we are able to receive texts/calls. Other service providers such as Sprint and AT&T do not have a signal. Your cell phone will always work in emergency mode to call 911 in the event of an emergency. The indoor woodstove stove is NOT permitted for use per our rental insurance policy. While we enjoy sharing our farm with guests, please be considerate of our privacy of our personal home not far from the cottage. This includes the front and back yards of our brick house and garage. There are plenty of other areas around the farm for exploring and petting animals! This is a working farm and you'll frequently see and hear farm machinery(tractors/atvs/etc.), livestock (cattle/horses/a donkey/dogs), and wildlife (coyotes/turkeys/deer) during your stay! Other things to note It is highly advised and encouraged that everyone in your booking reservation is, at minimum, comfortable around dogs.
