5 km from downtown, the Room has a private bathroom without a shower. The bathroom with shower is shared only with the hosts,  as well as the music room, kitchen, backyard, forest, and enchanted garden. We are a couple of scientists who moved to the forest. Diving into the main waterfalls, walking through the quiet streets of the neighborhood, or simply stretching out on the balcony hammock where you can watch the birds' party while having a coffee is the main entertainment around here. The space We are immersed in the Atlantic Forest, the night is silent and favors a perfect rest. Lying on your bed or in the hammock, you can glimpse a delightful view of the mountains of the Itatiaia National Park (PNI). The PNI is considered one of the best places for birdwatching in Brazil, and an immense variety of these birds can be photographed or simply contemplated in the backyard and balcony of our house. With a bit of luck, you might also spot flocks of monkeys moving through the forest. We are 10 minutes from the main waterfalls of Penedo and 5 km from downtown. We are lovers of nature, healthy eating and permacultural practices. We built our house in Penedo in 2020 and have lived here since early 2021. Every detail of the house was planned by ourselves, and we would like to invite you to spend an experience in our space. Guest access You can access your room independently through the balcony, and you will be invited to share with us the other spaces of the house (bathroom with shower, music room, kitchen, balcony overlooking the mountain, backyard and a mini forest). During your stay We like to socialize with guests, have freshly ground coffee and tell stories. We also respect your individual space if you want privacy. Other things to note Bring comfortable shoes for walking in the yard and swimwear for waterfalls. Bath towels are not offered. We are in the midst of nature, especially if you are allergic, consider taking a repellent. The climate is mild and cold nights are common around here. We practice garbage separation. Organic waste goes to composting, subsequently providing excellent soil for our organic vegetable garden. Clean, dry recycled waste is sent to the local cooperative. Here we make our breads, cakes, jams, cheeses and yogurts with organic and farm ingredients. A delicious organic breakfast can be offered upon request. We are mountaineers and if you arrange in advance we can guide you on trails in the area.
