Kiteopia- 350 sqft studio room on the sound

Set up like a hotel suite, "Butterslide" is completely self contained from the rest of the house having its own private bathroom and entrance making you feel secluded. This spacious room including a couch, beds, dinette table and kitchenette makes this the room very livable. The backyard has direct sound water access! Enjoy an outdoor shower, grill, picnic table, fire pit, and lounge chairs. Bike/walk to coffee, restaurants, shopping or take an 8 minute walk across to ocean beach. The space Our "Butter Slide" room is a large and comfortable space to vacation in. Our house ("Kiteopia) is on the sound with its amazing sunsets. The room is well appointed remote workers, small families with teen age children or couples with a plus one or two as the room has 3 beds. We moved here because of the beauty of the location and our amazing access to the Pamlico sound for kite boarding, paddle boarding and sailing. Kiteboarding downwind from planet of the apes or Salvo Day Use Area and ending at the house is epic. Catch an outdoor shower, cold drink and watch an amazing sunset. On calm nights its great to experience a secluded fire pit under the stars. I am a kiteboarding instructor and an avid kiteboarder and welcome guests to join me downwinders as well as I can provide private lessons for a reasonable rate. Guest access Guests are encourage to enjoy the backyard, fire pit, outdoor shower, picnic table, lawn chairs and loungers. There is a water hose for washing down equipment, an air hose for filling kites and water toys. During your stay We live here full time and are often taking advantage of what mother nature provides here including kiting and Hobie cat sailing, and paddleboarding.
