In the heart of the historic center of a village in southern Puglia, just 3.5 km from the sea, is this beautiful home with a large courtyard and swimming pool, with a typically Mediterranean flavor but an unmistakably international style. A skillful restoration has kept the architectural characteristics of the ancient buildings typical of the area unaltered while the comfort, furnishings and décor are very refined and of great charm. The space The main feature of this house is the ground floor, a large space of 130 m2 consisting of six very high bays with cross vaults intended for the living area, an open space, which visually connects the house with the garden. A large, open-plan living room, which includes a large and well-equipped kitchen with a Carrara marble top, a relaxation area with sofas and a fireplace, and finally a dining area with a marble table that looks through large windows at the courtyard/garden with swimming pool. The open space is characterized by the presence in the center, above the kitchen, of a mezzanine from which you can overlook the relaxation area and where there is a study space. From the dining area with three steps, through a large window, you can access the beautiful courtyard with swimming pool and a first shaded area with wicker and dining table for 8/10 seats and for the rest from the pool area with sunbathing space both on the lawn and in part paved and lush and fresh vegetation all around. Also from the garden/courtyard, a small door leads to a picturesque private street, shared with other houses that face it, including this one. Returning to the interior of the house, again on the ground floor, there is access to a small cellar (not usable) and, next to the kitchen, to a sleeping area with 1 double bedroom with an exclusive bathroom and 1 single bedroom with en-suite bathroom (the larger bedroom with bathtub and the smaller one with shower). Notes: these rooms do not have air conditioning because they are very cool in summer and the smallest of these is more suitable for a single person or a couple who are not particularly demanding, because the bed is a double sommier with one side against the wall due to the limited space available in the room. Both rooms have a hallway that divides the entrance and both have access inside, with French doors, to a common internal courtyard that gives air and light. Also on the ground floor, from the living area, but on the other side of the kitchen overlooking the living room, there is a passage in the wall through which you access an ancient and beautiful stone staircase, whitewashed with lime that, after a few steps, gives access to the loft/study already indicated and continuing higher, to the first floor where a small hallway distributes the entrance to two additional double bedrooms with bathroom/shower, one of which is in the room and the other pertaining to it, and air conditioning. Both of these rooms have autonomous and independent access, with a French window on a large and beautiful terrace that overlooks the rooftops of the historic center and in particular the back with stained glass window of the church of Sant'Andrea. Note: Since the house is next to the church, during the day you may hear the sound of bells marking the time. Guest access All spaces are available for guests and for private use.
