Calling all RoseSniffers!! Stop and smell the roses in this newly constructed, stylish studio with private entrance. Although you will wake up to a bird's eye view of mountains, farms, and a golfcourse, you will be minutes away from four-season adventures: Skiing, Antiquing, Vineyards, History, Gettysburg Military Park, 5-Star Golfing, Performing Arts, and Dining are all minutes away! We've thought of all your comforts of home and designed this place with your peace in mind! Really great studio living in the country just outside of Gettysburg PA -- Great for 2-3 adults or two adults and two small children. There is one queen, one chaise lounge (not too comfy for adults), and one roll-in cot. After you reserve, please indicate whether you will need the extra cot rolled in. Again, the lounge is comfy enough for small adults or children. There are 19 indoor stairs up to the LOFT. You will live on one acre overlooking a golf course and a farmers field with a red barn, rolling hills/mountains, and a church in the distance. Our private residence is located here, but your entrance is private and your enjoyment of your yard space is as well. The only time you will see us is if you text me and need me. You may hear our dog barking to come in or while she's guarding the property. The space is cozy, stocked, and has a loft feel to it with bright natural light coming in, temperature controled with splits, and nice views. Sleeping: QUEEN BED, sleeping 2. Green chaise LOUNGE can serve as another single bed (head is inclined)--for small adults or children. Plus, we have a roll away single COT available upon request. This cot can be added in the foyer on first floor as a private sleeping area, the alley kitchen, or where bar seating is. All linens provided. Workspace: Kitchen counter has bar seating with cushioned swivel stools, power outlets, ample surface space. Alternative is at the small bistro table set. Bathroom: Full of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, floss, Q-tips, cotton swabs, bandaids and first aid. Bug spray and sunscreen provided. **NOTE: There are hooks to hang your towels on the side of the sink stand and on the shower tile right outside the shower. Kitchen: Crock Pot, Microwave, and Toaster Oven provide simple and a bit more complex recipe options. (Wings, Pizza, Soups, Stews, pancakes, waffles, and more!). There's a mini fridge and coffee pot as well as coffee, tea, sugar, powder creamer, oil, dog food, S&P, Splenda (or the like), glassware, coffee mugs, plates, bowls, all utensils, cleaning supplies, food wrap/leftover containers, and hand towels. Children's dishes, cups, utensils are there too. :) Entrance is managed by a code. You'll have access to the entire space: Living, Kitchen, Bath, Foyer, Parking, and Back Yard Private, but on the same lot as ours. Amazing views of sunsets from your own patio. Please be patient. Your patio is awaiting a spring installation but for now we have provided outdoor matting, table and umbrella and two lounge chairs for your outdoor relaxation. I won't connect or intrude on your privacy unless it's necessary or if you reach out to me for something. The first interaction you may have is with our yellow lab, Isabelle. She's a barker, but wouldn't hurt a fly. :) She is communicating someone is here and then begging for touches. FAIRFIELD PA (.25 (1/4) mile away) is home to two 5-star colf courses (Gettysburg National and Carroll Valley Golf Course at Liberty Mountain Resort). Liberty Mountain Resort offers live music, great skiiing (not your high mountain experience, but still a blast!), and tasty restaurants and drink specials. Main Street in Fairfield hosts its annual Pippenfest the last Saturday and Sunday of September. Walking distance will have you crossing by cows, beautifully restored 1800's homes, shopping, crafting, baseball and football games, local dog walkers, and 5 restaurants right in town. Fairfield has three lakes you can choose from for Kayaking and Canoeing. There is a Dollar General, Mini Mart, Pharmacy, Post Office, Computer Dr., and 8---yes 8 (which is a LOT for this 1 mile strip) Restaurants offering Pizza, BBQ (2 of them) Farm To Table (2 of them), sports TV's, outside dining, cafe and diner fare, and ice cream! GETTYSBURG Town & Battlefield are a 10 minute drive away. The town is bustling even without Battlefield visitors. There are restaurants for all tastes! Our favorite is Food 101 with Upper Crust coming in a close 2nd. Lincoln Diner is fun! Segways, Scooters, and other fun Peds (Getty Peds) can get you around in a fun, recreational way! Delicious homemade Ice Cream at Mr. G's, Sweet Cones, and Kilwins! Along with all the other tours that Gettysburg Military Park Visitor Center offers, there are shows, music events in the street and in establishments throughout the week, and a plethora of shopping. Farmers Market is right on the Square in town every Saturday between May and October. APPALACHIAN TRAIL: There are 10 or more nearby access points to hiking the AT with parking. A great opportunity to get your dog some offleash time and exercise for yourself! EMMITSBURG, WAYNESBORO, NEW OXFORD and FAYETTEVILLE: These are 10-30 minute drives in any direction for some great antiquing, wine tasting, historical tours, hospitals, and more restaurants, ice-cream and shopping. FEMA, Mount St. Mary's, and Mother Seton Shrine and Grotto are in Emmitsburg, MD, the next town neighbor. BIKES: This Blue Ridge Mountain region has been voted one of best for bicycling and motorcycling. Winding country roads with rolling hills is the norm. The LOFT is 20 minutes from Harley-Davidson Battlefield. And we sit on the route the soldiers walked on during the Civil War right before GBurg Battle began. OTHER FUN: Lake and stream fishing and hunting can be a quick trip or a bit longer into the Michaux State Forest. Pick Your Own fruit opportunities, carnivals and fairs, Miniature Horse Farm, Petting Zoos and a small town pride of First Responders, Veterans and active military are some other elements that make us proud to be where we are. Street parking is available throughout this town of Fairfield and surrounding communities including Gettysburg, Waynesboro, Emmitsburg, and more. Additionally, there are parking garages and municipal parking lots in all areas. Segway and motor bike rental availalbe in Gettysburg, 5 miles away. Currently, we are recooperating from a full septic renovation and rebuild. So, the patio, drive-in path, and route to the door had to be rerouted. To get to your RoseSniffers LOFT entrance, you will enjoy free parking on our residence driveway and take a 30 second walk to your private entrance.
