We are located almost at the top of the valley in a labyrinth of small alleys, meaning it can be confusing trying to get to the apartment for the first time. There is no car access to the house, but you can get dropped off a few minutes' walk away. There are two ways of getting to the apartment: 1. Walking up the hill from the Plaza de Los Angeles - 5 minutes walk uphill (not recommended if you are arriving with big suitcases) 2. Taking a taxi or Uber (around 60 pesos) to the top of the hill, near the Pipila monument, and walking 150 meters down the hill. We send a Direction Guide upon booking to help you navigate to us. Yes, there’s a bit of a hike (if you opt not to taxi to the top) but keep in mind that Guanajuato is full of stairs and little, winding walkways. That’s part of the charm. We had no problem coming and going on foot, we just took our time. The apartment was super charming and Dermot was quick with responses to any questions we had. To ensure comfort of all guests the patios are accessible from 8am to 10 pm. There is free parking at the top of the hill by the "Tinaco del Pipila" or private paid parking by the Pipila statue which is a 6 minute walk from the apartment. Please note that like most accomodations in Guanajuato, the street access to the house is not available to cars. Plan to walk a few minutes from your taxi or rental car to access our property. If you are coming from the airport ask for the "Pipila Monumento" and you will be in walking distance from the apartment.
