Description
You will find our monument in the old city center. The room is 30m2 with high ceiling. The ground floor room is located at the front of the house. There is a private bathroom with rain shower, bathrobes and shampoos. The room has a box-spring bed with a high entry. There is a coffee maker, kettle, refrigerator and a TV. You can enjoy an extensive breakfast in your room for 9.50 p.p. You can also have breakfast in our historic dining room at an additional cost. You're most welcome! The space The Jan Hendrik room is named after statesman Jan Hendrik Baron van Lynden Lunenburg, who lived in our house between 1788 and 1807. He was most likely responsible for the major renovations of the house in late Louis XVI style. The B&B room is the oldest room in the house, covers 30m² and has a 4.15-meter-high ceiling. The room has a private toilet and bathroom with a rain shower and sink. In the bathroom with underfloor heating, you will find fresh towels, soft bathrobes, Marie-Stella-Maris shampoos and soaps, and a hairdryer. The room features a double box-spring bed (210 cm by 160 cm) that can also be divided into two single beds. You will also find two comfortable chairs, a reading lamp, and an oval table with chairs. The room also has a beautiful vintage coat rack, wardrobes and shelves, and a 43-inch Samsung TV. On the dresser, you'll find a Nespresso coffee maker and a Russel Hobbs kettle. A new addition is a Lenco record player, with LPs from the 1960s and 1970s in the drawers. Inside the dresser, you'll find a small, silent refrigerator stocked with delicious drinks. With Google Home, you can listen to your favorite music and radio stations. The room has super-fast Wi-Fi. The room is equipped with various mirrors, including an antique checkered mirror above the attractive electric fireplace. Above the sideboard hangs 'Wijk's Face', a painting by Gerda Elfring (1956). You can enjoy an extensive breakfast in your room for 9.50 euros per person. It is also possible to have breakfast in our historic dining room. You will have breakfast at an oval antique French table, with beautiful art on the wall and under a beautiful chandelier. Guest access In addition to the B&B room, guests of B&B De Swaen have access to the spacious city center garden of the house. Under the five plane trees there is a spacious rear terrace with three separate seating areas. In the backyard, under the beech trees, there is a second spacious terrace with table and chairs. There is a beautiful wooden swing on the lawn, always nice to swing :). In the morning, breakfast is served in the authentic dining room or outside under the plane trees when the weather is nice. Other things to note Are you coming by car? Then it is best to park at the Mill, where you can park for free and unlimited. From the parking lot at the Mill it is a 200 meter walk to our house. Are you coming by bike? We have a large, heated shed behind the house, where you can safely store your bicycle and charge it if necessary. Are you coming on foot? Then we would like to welcome you as a walker!
