Description

High-end glamping paradise on the marsh minutes away from Historic District at an Old Dairy. Art studios, horses, gardens, and 5 miles of walking trails await under magical oaks and cinematic backdrops. More wildlife sanctuary than the neighborhood. Lounge on hammocks and swings, have morning coffee with a corral full of horses, get lost on the marsh bird watching, practice yoga, have a fire, and take a romantic couples shower. The Lark is a premium camper only available in high season. The space This camper is listed only at peak times and is across the horse coral from the three other campers that make up The Glam Camp. Those campers are available for instant booking (there are some pictures of the space in this listing) and you should consider booking one of those first, primarily because they are a bit closer to the bathrooms. That said, this camper is my pride and joy. I completely gutted it and redid the interior with the intention of this being my own to take on the road, which I do, but mostly it just sits in its regal position under the walnut trees facing a corral full of horses. This camper is close to the main farmhouse of this Old Dairy. When hanging in front of your camper, just be courteous to the people inside the house, especially if it is evening. I do want to be clear that the bathrooms for the glam camp are exactly 500 feet (a two-minute walk) on the other side of the corral. There is a picture of me pointing to it. There are a number of trees that you can utilize in the evening or for late-night bladder attacks :). There is a picnic table, a chiminea, Adirondack chairs, and a never-ending yard that transitions into the dairy property. Everything you see in the pictures is what you have access to. Just don't enter the space with horses, and please stay out of the organic garden area where the large wooden barn is located. My house is located very close to the trailer, but it is private. However, if you need anything, let me know because I am right here usually. Below is the general description of the Glam Camp Space which you also have exterior access to, including the yoga swing. The campers are perfect for those wishing for space and distance. In the spirit of Diamond Oaks Treehouse (our bed and breakfast listing), we bring you the Glam Camp. A classy corner of a real working farm featuring two vintage 13-foot completely redone campers, and a 26-foot airstream in a sublime backdrop of moss and marsh and art and wildlife. THIS listing is for The Lark, a premium camper listed only during peak seasons. If you want the whole camp to yourself, consider renting multiple campers at the Glam Camp. The Silver Meteor is more class, while the Flaming Flamingo is more sass. The Orient Express airstream is tucked just behind the two and fits 4 people. Each features fully remodeled kitchenettes, luxurious bedding, meticulous decor, 32-inch streaming flatscreens with wifi inside and out, and of course, a record player. Each camper has its own porch swing, hammock, fire pit, porch bistro set, and hanging chair. All guests have access to two onsite bathrooms and a fully functional covered outdoor shower with dedicated hot water reserved only for Glam Camp Guests. There is a horseshoe pit, a corn hole set, and 5 miles of nature trails that wind past the horses and gardens. Behind the campers is all wild space leading to an open marsh with Bonaventure Cemetery in the distance. Guest access For this space, you do not have access to the adjacent house, but you do have access to the two bathrooms across the field, and the shower located behind them. Other things to note It is important to consider that this is glamping on a marsh in a wooded area adjacent to a working farm. I am surprised I have to make this clear, but you are going to see bugs regardless of what we do. Now, what I can assure are no infestations or anything beyond reason. We treat inside AND under the campers with bates and products that aren’t harmful to humans. If something does make it in, it usually dies. I am being clear and transparent about this. If you are the kind of person who cringes at the site of a bug, you should probably stay in a traditional home or hotel. And honestly, you still might not be in the clear! Good luck with that in the South. Humidity and bugs are great friends. I can tell you of the species you might see, they aren’t going to get into your food or anything like that. Consider them curious:) Also, I am happy to note that dehumidifiers have been installed per the request of guests and the necessity given to changing weather because of global warming (yes, we believe in science).
