The ADU is brand new construction. The home is fully electric and the solar panel array on the home produces all the electricity the home needs and more! Living room and kitchen get a ton of natural light. Excellent place to relax and listen to our records. Small side yard w/ patio and grill. Easy train or scooter ride to downtown. Short walk to amazing Paco Sanchez park. Sleep on 100% organic and climate neutral Avocado Mattress. Composting and recycling provided and strongly encouraged. The space Everything is brand new, or new to us. Nicole did an excellent job of up-cycling/making a lot of features in the home. Smaller but open concept, very cozy and inviting space. Please note if bringing a dog, you'll need to watch them as our yard is not fenced off in the back area by the alley. Other things to note This is an ADU (additional dwelling unit), meaning we live in the main house on the same property. You are given autonomy of the space, but we are close by if needed. You will see us outside more often during the warmer months. We used to live in this space and still have some personal items in closets. Closet rods and shelves are still able to be used. The bottom drawer of the freezer is used by us for our food. The top drawer is cleared and available for use by you. We allow guests to bring their dogs. While the place will be cleaned upon your arrival, there may be some lingering dog hair. If you have allergies, you could be affected by this. We strive to live a low waste lifestyle and think consciously about our planet before making purchases. We live a paperless kitchen and offer "un-paper" organic cotton towels to use while visiting. The other textiles we've purchased for bedding and towels is hemp. We've chosen to eliminate chemicals from our home and therefore use safe and natural cleaning products - no bleach, phthalates, etc. Please reach out if you need anything, have questions or want to learn more about living this way. We offer recycling and city-wide composting in addition to landfill trash. We greatly appreciate if you would dispose of items in their proper bins. If you're bringing kids - we have 1 bed rail, a pack and play, high chair, stroller (Bob single and double - need advance notice if you'll need to use) and some books and toys.
