Luxury camping in a beautiful cabin (April - Nov).

There is also plenty of room for tents if you have a larger group!! The space No one-night bookings on weekends... Awesome log cabin on a beautiful pond, Queen-size fold out couch sleeps two downstairs, two single futons in upstairs loft sleep two more. (NO WI-FI CURRENTLY)*** Electricity, microwave, toaster oven, mini-fridge, television with DVD player (but no actual TV reception), plus a coffee maker. NO PLUMBING IN CABIN, however a Porta-John/outhouse (50 feet from the cabin) and a hot (propane) camp shower are available (please bring eco-friendly products). Fresh water is available too, from an outdoor faucet next to out- building. A pedal-boat and a 2-Person Kayak are available, swimming (but no fishing), and lots of room for tents for larger groups. (Fees increase for groups over 4.) It is preferred that you bring your sleeping bags or blankets, however linens are provided. Safe fire-pit for marshmallow roasting and campfires (firewood for sale). Hiking trails very nearby, mountain biking, nature preserve, State Parks 10 minutes away, 5,000-acre State Forest is 5 minutes away, incredible tourist-friendly garden 3 minutes away, and a lot of other fun stuff nearby! VERY rural setting, yet on a main road, 12 minutes from Ithaca, 35 minutes from Watkins Glen. Small-town Supermarket 6 miles away. Cell phone reception is not great, but it is functional. An absolutely perfect spot for Grassroots Festival (25 minutes), Finger Lakes attractions, Wine Trails and Watkins Glen racetrack (35 min.) Please note that 1-night reservations are sometimes accepted during the week, but not on weekends.) Guest access You will have the entire cabin. Other things to note • The cabin is located at 2650 W. Danby Rd., Spencer, NY 14883. (W. Danby Rd. is also known as Route 34/96.) It is 6 miles north (on the left side of the road) from Spencer, NY and 10 miles (on the right hand side of the road) from Ithaca NY. • There is a vertical green sign that says 2650, attached to the mailbox post, and you will see a gate at the bottom of the driveway. • When you get to the top, park in front of the railroad ties and you will see the cabin 100 yards ahead. The green cart is for your use. If I am not on the premises, feel free to make yourselves at home! • I provide a charcoal grill, and sometimes there is leftover charcoal, but it is recommended to bring a bag of charcoal and some lighter fluid if you plan to use the grill. Also, given it is a “camping” experience, having extra essentials (like toilet paper) is advised. • If you have a dog(s), please make sure they are cat-friendly and controlled, as my cats are likely to visit. Also, please bring a blanket or dog bed for them, and, if you plan to leave them in the cabin when you are not there, a dog crate. (You may skip the dog crate if you agree to pay for any damages.)
