"Off Course"

Relax with the whole family at our river's edge retreat. You will have the entire cabin to yourself as you enjoy our newly built cozy cabin. Enjoy fishing, kayaking, swimming from our 1800 feet of frontage on the Meduxnekeag river, or hiking and snowshoeing on our 70+ acres. 5 minutes from the Houlton Golf course and the snowmobile trails. Roast some smores on the campfire with the kids at sunset, or cosy up and watch a movie inside on a rainy day. The space You will have the entire space of our recently completed cabin by the river. We love it, and want to share it with others who enjoy the outdoors as much as we do. Relaxing in the hammock by the river is one of our favorite places to be. The master bedroom has a queen bed, and the other room has a twin. There is a queen bed in the loft with a twin close by. The futon in the living room can squeeze in an extra 2 places if needed. Sleeps 6 comfortably, and 8 if you are bringing along a few extra cousins! Guest access You will be 5 minutes from the golf course right up the road, and 5 minutes from the public beach at Nickerson Lake. There are plenty of lakes around waiting to be explored. The ATV and snowmobile trails are close by. You feel like you are in a remote location, but are really just 15 minutes from downtown Houlton, and 15 minutes from the Amish community in Smyrna. The views are beautiful all four seasons, as you drive around our neighborhood. Other things to note If you are visiting during the winter or mud season, please come with a 4 x4 or all wheel drive as our driveway can be quite challenging during the winter months. Summer access is fine for all vehicles.
