Pretty Byrd Cottage, a Victorian Bayfront Getaway!

Imagine getting away from it all by crossing a footbridge to a private island with a Victorian cottage on your own private 3-acre lake! This property is a unique oasis that combines today's modern conveniences with the charm of elegant decor. Enter the front door and be taken in by the surrounding water views, and enjoy charming verandas and a balcony that overlook the lake and gardens surrounding the cottage. Guests can also enjoy the use of a private beach, fishing, kayaks and a paddleboat! The space Sleep in comfort on a memory foam queen-size mattress in the bedroom and find extra space in the loft above the kitchen, which contains a futon sleeper. Please be cautious when climbing the ladder to the loft and take caution while enjoying the balcony overlooking the pond from the second floor. Other things to note Guests can enjoy our private beach on the face of the Chesapeake Bay. Find a map to the beach and kayaks in your guestbook located on the entrance table to the right of the front door as you enter the cottage. Feel free to enjoy the use of the paddleboat and rowboat on the lake. No fishing or swimming is permitted in the lake, but you are welcome to do both at the private beach! Fishing poles, beach chairs and life vests are provided as well. Enjoy the fire pit located just a few steps away from the private beach and kayaks, all of which are walking distance from the cottage.
