Adorable Guest Cottage - 1 bedroom with dividing wall, 2 beds and 1 Bath inside with an additional outside shower. Relaxing front porch with River access across the street. Includes dock use with 1 included boat slip. Ample parking on site. Within walking distance of most places, but a bicycle or golf cart makes it even better. Steinhatchee is a Golf-Cart community, so come join the fun. *Note - There are two beds with a partition wall for privacy, but the beds are not in private rooms. This 2br cottage is similar to hotel with two queens beds, but with a partition wall between. Mounted to the partition wall are two televisions, one for each bed. There is no cable in Steinhatchee, but the TVs have Dish network with DVR. Guests can use any portion of the home, porch, dock, fish cleaning house, one boat slip and there is a wash house with two washing machines and one dryer on the property. While access to the wash house is allowed, it is also used as storage and for cleaning supplies, and is shared with any occupants of the main house, so courteous behavior is expected. There is an enclosed dock house that should have a padlock on it, this dock house has flooring that needs repairs so is not safe to walk inside. The screened in sitting room in front of this dock house is open for use. The boat lift is rented out long term, and is not for routine guest use. I and my co-host Valena are typically available phone or text. Valena is a Steinhatchee local and she owns one of the local bait shops. River Houses along Riverside Drive. Lots of Retired folks and Airbnb homes. Many people live nearby, and while our guests are on vacation, please remember that the neighbors don't appreciate noise into the night. There is a noise ordinance and quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. The Cottage is located within walking distance to most everything. However, a bicycle or golf cart makes it easier. Steinhatchee is a golf cart friendly community. There is no fast internet in Steinhatchee (yet), Verizon cell service is fairly adequate. I have a Verizon hotspot there that we use for cameras covering the driveways. I use these cameras to monitor the property when there are no guests, and they are helpful for notifying the housekeeper that guests have left. The data for this hotspot is NOT unlimited, so l typically do not share the password, but for guests with no cell service, I will share it, just let me know.
