City Center - Sauna & Hidden Courtyard Gem

Welcome to Koerhuys Alkmaar! A one-of-a-kind 16th century courtyard house located at the old city center. Walking distance to the cheese market, shops, restaurants, bars and monuments but the courtyard feels peaceful and secluded. Good base to explore Amsterdam, tullip fields, old villages, dunes and the nearby beaches! The house was lovingly renovated with a new kitchen, a modern bathroom, and antique details for a luxurious yet charming feel. The space The gated entrance is via the prettiest street of Alkmaar which won the award for the "Greenest Street in the city" Ground Floor: The new kitchen is equipped with a small fridge with freezer, 2 burner induction cooktop, gas oven, and a dishwasher. The newly renovated bathroom has a large sink with a lighted mirror, walk-in shower, towel heater, toilet, and wall cabinet for storage. Each guest gets a large and small bath towel as a standard. Upper Floor: The upstairs bedroom has a double bed with a comfortable 160x200 boxspring, soft and medium-hard pillows, cotton bed sheets, and a large comforter for two people. The bedroom also has a 43-inch cable and smart TV with chromecast, sofa and a cabinet for clothes. Courtyard: Tables and chairs are provided in the courtyard as added space to relax for you. BONUS! There is an infrared sauna in the garden free of use for our guests only. Other things to note The nearest paid parking is at Schelphoek Alkmaar (5-minute walk) about €17.00 per day. The cheapest paid parking option is at De Kwakel (10-minute walk) for €3.00 per day. Distance from the train station to the Airbnb is about a 15-minute scenic walk via the old city center.
