The space The apartment is located in a family residential condominium, on a high floor, facing the back, from where it is possible to appreciate part of the Leme mountain and one of the hills of Pão de Açúcar. It is a quiet and airy environment, with morning sun. Completely renovated a few years ago under the guidance of an architect, the apartment is perfect for a couple, but also comfortably accommodates two other people on the sofa bed in the living room. Other things to note ABOUT MARKETS AND COMMERCE: In the vicinity of my apartment, there is a convenient variety of markets, bakeries and cafeterias. Just below the building, on the ground floors of the next two buildings, there are three markets, two bakeries and two cafeterias. They are strategically located, facing the square and the street, forming a natural path between the condominium and Shopping Rio Sul. These local markets are ideal for meeting day-to-day needs. However, for a greater variety or more substantial shopping, the Zona Sul Supermarket, recognized as the best chain in the region, is just a 15-minute walk away. In cases of heavy purchases, such as on the way home, it is common to opt for an Uber to facilitate transportation. In addition to the physical options, there is also the convenience of online markets, which offer quality, variety and speedy delivery. Most of them offer home delivery service. One service I've been using a lot is Uber's CornerShop, which enables larger purchases with fast and efficient delivery. The Shopping Mall, which is a few meters away, has several restaurants, cafeterias, ice cream parlors, snack bars, as well as a huge variety of quality stores. TRANSPORT AND SAFETY: To get to the most famous landmarks, the best option is to use Uber. Places like Pão de Açúcar, Cristo Redentor (Corcovado), the Museum of Tomorrow, the Botanical Garden and most of the tourist attractions do not have a metro station nearby. However, my apartment's location is strategic, as there is a great availability of Uber drivers due to the proximity of Shopping Rio Sul. In addition, being next to one of the city's top shopping malls offers security benefits, with public and private policing around. It's important to mention that the cost of Uber to get to these places is quite affordable, given that they are quickly accessible from here. For example, the trip to Pão de Açúcar costs an average of R$11.00 (US$2.10), while for Cristo Redentor the amount is approximately R$17.00 (US$3.30), similar to the expenses to go to Arpoador or Ipanema (data from February 2025).
