The space This charming renovated 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage sits hidden away from the hustle and bustle just 3.5 miles off the main highway in Townsend. Nestled against a quiet forest and babbling creek, it’s the perfect escape while still close enough to dine out, shop, tube Little River, visit Cades Cove and access everything else the Great Smoky Mountains has to offer. Upon your arrival to Creekside Cottage, you’ll be transported to a place where time is irrelevant. You’ll first be greeted by your own private access to the creek, as well as a fire pit and amble outdoor seating. Enter the home through a covered porch where a brand new hot tub awaits you just to your right. You’ll step into a cozy living room, complete with an electric fireplace, flatscreen TV (dvds only) and a picture window overlooking the creek. Adjacent to the living room is a renovated kitchen, fully equipped with brand new appliances. Moving on into this beautiful cottage you’ll find 2 bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen bed across the hall from a spacious full bath with double vanity and shower/tub combo. At the end of the hall you’ll find the 2nd bedroom with a king bed and an ensuite bathroom with double vanity and walk-in shower. There’s a second living room/game room in the back of the house with a smart TV, a futon (makes into full bed), a pub-style table for games onto to the back of the house where you’ll find a washer & dryer and counter top packman game with access to the back porch and back yard. The property is 18 miles from Pigeon Forge and 24 miles from Gatlinburg. Smoky Mountain National Park access and the entrance to Cades Cove Loop is just 13 miles away. River Rats water tubing is right down the road where you can enjoy an afternoon on the water. There is a grocery store as well as dining, fishing, horseback riding, golfing, hiking and zip lining all close by. A day trip to Dollywood and many other activities in Pigeon Forge are less than an hour away, or feel free to stay at the cottage where you can soak in the hot tub, enjoy a fire by the creek or have a movie marathon in the comfort of this beautifully renovated mountain getaway. More about the location: This house is located in Townsend. -Distance to Gatlinburg: 24 miles -Distance to Pigeon Forge: 18 miles -Distance to Cades Cove Loop entrance: 13 miles This is a mountainous/rural area with poor cell service, but decent wifi for limited devices.. * We do have Wi-Fi listed as an amenity at this cabin. The internet works well most of the time, but in this mountain community Wi-Fi at times can be unreliable and is impacted by weather and trees falling. Occasionally, interruptions in service requiring the provider to send a technician will occur. Technician appointments will not always be available during the trip and are scheduled at the earliest possibility. It can snow a few times a year at this location. In this event 4-wheel drive is recommended. PLEASE NOTE: This cottage is part of an old homestead. Even though we have made every effort to remove any debris from the property, rain and current from the creek often turns up glass and metal pieces.
