2017 Remodeled Oasis on Sycamore St.

Relaxed home only a 25 min drive from downtown LA/Hollywood (w/out traffic). Set against the backdrop of the San Gabriel Mountains, nearby attractions include: The Rose Bowl, Huntington Library and Gardens, Norton Simon Museum, Los Angeles Arboretum, Westfield Mall, and the Mt. Wilson hiking trail; all easily accessible from the property. Complete remodel finished in March 2017 with a brand new kitchen and Eucalyptus wood floors. Beautiful garden surrounding the front and back with a fig tree. The space Some of my guests are from other countries and a "queen" size bed seems to confuse these international guests. To be clear a queen bed means that size bed sleeps two people together comfortably. I have two of the three bedrooms outfitted with recently bought queen beds. The other bedroom has two single beds in the room for two people to sleep separately. This is a rambler style home meaning there are no steps or stairs (aside from the 2 steps at the front door). It is a great property for anyone with a disability. Having noted that, we take no responsibility for any accidents including falls and/or cuts, scrapes, bruises that my be caused by using any facility on the premises. Guest access Entire front house. A second home behind the front house is on the premises and Nelson, who lives there, is friendly, quiet, loves to meet new people and very helpful regarding ideas or points of interest for sightseeing. Julie who may be there is also able to greet and give any immediate instructions such as the security combination on the rear entrance door. PARKING: Guests have one parking spot on the driveway in cases where there is a large vehicle. If guests have two cars and they are smaller vehicles, both vehicles can fit on that side of the driveway that is assigned guest parking. There is very close and easy penalty free 24 hours parking on the street. We ask guests to make sure their vehicle does not leak oil before parking on the driveway. It has nice pavers and oil would stain the pavers. Ever guest has been very good about this so it is easy and we appreciate the way parking instructions have been accepted and followed. Other things to note Late model washer/dryer front loading machines are enclosed in a rose wood custom made cabinet on the covered porch in the back. I encourage short term guests and request longer term guests to wash towels frequently. Although breakfast is not included in the listing, I know how it is to travel so I try to make sure that the basics are on there on arrival so that in the morning the guests can have a coffee or tea. There is a coffee maker and all of the usual things (i.e. milk) that one needs for a light breakfast to get going in the morning. Feel free to open the compartments for some basics like waffles and syrup.
